Billy Strings has a band that he's fortunate Jarrod Walker plays in. Jarrod can stand against any player I have ever seen. Not to take anything away from anybody else, but Jarrod is the only player I have seen that can take the attention away from Billy. Anders Beck is a possible exception, but he plays a weird instrument that normal people can't even name. Jarrod Walker is The Truth!

Jarrod can play a guitar like nobody’s business also.

Except, billy is a guitarist, Jarrod is a mandolin player... your talking shite

@@guitarman1477 yeah, you're right, a lesser player trading solos with Billy wouldn't stand out at all.

I love how Jarrod makes Billy look to be concentrating so hard! 😂

Every picker I have ever known (I am now 75) would have to “hold their mouth right” to be able to concentrate and pick the tune! My dad used to laugh about himself “holding his mouth just right” as he played Soldiers Joy on his mandolin!

Walker bros are insane. It makes a mandolinist like myself feel like a 1st year student.

A mix of morphine and alcohol is the soldiers joy -- origins from the civil war i believe?

Soldiers Joy also was named Payday in the Army, I believe. So that is the joy mentioned

It's good to see a picker like Billy choose to play an Eastman. For us amateur mandolinists, it can get a bit depressing seeing all our heroes playing $150,000 instruments!

Even folks like Jarrod playing a boutique makers mandolin (wienman in this case) just seems completely unobtainable.

drink less coffee. lordy, so like I put my lp 33 on 45. Really detracts from song. Annoying. like dude, can play 32'd notes and beyond, but don't feel I have to all the time. music is between the notes.
