Monica Carvajal You can definitely do a cut crease. You see how her cut crease was above her natural crease? She basically follows the eye socket. I don't have hooded eyes but I've seen tutorials and they were great.

The reason you want to use a shade down in color range from the dark black shade to blend in is because it helps blend that darker color- You mentioned that you didn’t know why you do this well that’s the reason
