Although heavy eye makeup can be very beautiful, it has to be done carefully. I tried beautiful look. I then had to take it all off and start again. I think my issue was not having a black eyeliner that refused to glide onto my lid, it scratched its way onto my lid 😬 I’m also very fair skinned, with light blue eyes, so I wasn’t expecting it to look anywhere near as nice. Your tutorials are always very straightforward, which I appreciate. Also showing that just because we turn 40, we don’t have to stick to nude looks - is appreciated! I will invest in a gel black liner and try it again. Hopefully I won’t need to do 100 concealer touch ups on my 3rd attempt, with black everywhere but my eyes 🫣 🖤

Me too! We must be on the same brain wave. My smokey eyes have always been a disaster. Using brown tones makes it easier but I really want that dark dark statement look and I always end up looking like I have a black eye or like I'm wearing gray eyeshadow! ✌️❤️

Going to try this but without the brown under the water line. I have older eyes & deep deep dark circles and brown makes the dark circles look worse for me.

can I just use my black eye primer as a base instead of using my black pencils? I would think if it's quality primer it'll work about the same?
