It is a great topic. I might add Souther Andean Ecuador and Northern Andean Peru have had a peaceful environment during decades and decades. The big region between Cuenca and Cajamarca, including all the town and cities as Loja, Vilcabamba, Chachapoyas, Celendin, Bagua, Moyobamba , etc.
All of your reason here Jesse, are my reason - combined off course - with the weather - for choosing to move to Ecuador for moving there for my retirement...😊 I just want to be a place in which I can live in peace with myself, my environment, my neighbours etc and Ecuador - apart from these cartels, seem to offer that... Another thing you mentioned, is the current power structure in our world..the northern part seem to have (take) it all and, I truly hope we, by shifting out own location, can be part of a change to that...into a more level power north/south as I believe this will be good and much more healthy for all.of us!! Thanks a lot for your thoughts...and have a good week...🌹
As always Jesse, very informative compelling video. Mahalo. PS as far as petty theft, got in LA at Sprouts grocery store pickpocketed in my Trader Joe’s bag on my arm and this professional got access to $500 of my money within the last few months and a poor homeless guy who was banned from the store elbowed me as he was going out the door at a Ralph’s grocery store because Security was not doing his job. I’ve learned my lesson and I think I could handle it or avoid it in Ecuador.
I personally keep my "wealth" in Bitcoin. It holds its value/purchase power. Therefore, I will have my purhcase power no matter what the value of currency will be whenever I need to sell it to pay bills... Because Ecuador economy is separate & self sufficient from the USA, it will have separation and not correlation. Huge difference between them is that Ecuador is a cash economy instead of debt driven. Because of that, it's way less prone to inflation. USD may hyperinflate, but I don’t think that means it will inflate equivalently in Ecuador. I could be wrong and am interested in their response to ur question. I'm just sharing my own amateur understanding. It's a good question!!
@@msbeecee1 I think you assessed it quite well. The lack of inflation is a big selling point but it's also curious why the USD seems inflation resistant in Ecuador. Not being debt driven is probably a big reason but it violates the law of supply and demand which is strange.
@joshuacarpenter8263 yeah I agree that the lack of inflation in Ecuador is strange (but wonderful!!) I do have an MBA but didn't do well in my Economics class, sooooo 🙃 😂
I was literally just looking at land to buy and came to this video to get insight on the status of the area and then went back to the land listing and realized it is you that is selling the land 🤯 my wife is from Ecuador and we met on the coast in Ayampe but looking to settle in the mountains
Hi Jesse, can you talk about the US and its (recently increasing) influence in Ecuador. Is the government so deep in debt that it will do the bidding of ite US masters? Like send military equipment to Ukraine? And replace it at high cost from the military industrial complex (running up debts, of course). Sorry if I speak to plainly (I'm Cdn).
Yes, the beautiful but sometimes seemingly naïve quality and economic issues concern me that Ecuador will be seduced by US Empire. Hate to say it but China influence based on economics would probably be better. Hoping since Naboa is a business person he can walk that tight rope and come out with the best deal, and not be beholden to either of them & their predator tendencies. And please Naboa don’t become one of the WEF new leaders. 🙏🏾Sending Naboa and the beautiful people of Ecuador, the courage, resilience, and ability to stay true to their highest values.
Hi Juliette, thanks for your question. This is a very nuanced and almost requires a multivariate analysis to get any sort of true understanding from. The global geopolitical landscape constantly changes and may be changing more rapidly today, than ever before. For example, from the time you posted your comment to just a few days later on this past Friday, Ecuador Government said it is reconsidering sending Russian military equipment to the U.S. So who really knows what’s going on behind closed doors with any government anywhere in the world? At the end of the day, the way we look at it is we don’t have control over any of that stuff regardless. What we do have control over, currently, is defining our values and determining where in the world we can best live those values. We can always keep running away from things until eventually we can’t any longer. That might be the point. If all the “apocalyptic” and terrible things people have projected to happen actually happen, then we’ll have much bigger things to worry about won’t we? Don’t think things are getting easier from this point. Finding a true community and the ability to make that dream a reality may never be easier to do than it is today. We could probably do an entire podcast on this topic alone… hopefully this helped a bit. Take care! Have faith! Take action and try something for your own experiences! Maybe you won’t regret it 😉 Thanks for watching! ❤️ 🙏
Oh what happen with the police and not shooting the samurai is because all members are train and they did not come out from the military. Considering that the police were view as the enemy in the 80s and 90s by the public. People expected they to make you disappear at night. Now the people trust them and help them. Looks like they had become well train and respectful toward the people they are serving.

Any concern for Ecuador being on the USD?
Yes, I’m curious about that as well
Yep me too. @@rosezaz6607
