I like that one too. Along with a few of the other remixes out these days.
That was the only gig I've been able to do, mostly because we were all friends. It was more of a small get together when we could get away with it for a short lived period this summer. Lol
We're locked right back down again now.
Hopefully we'll all have more work than we can handle whenever we get through all this.

That was a cool little gig. Weren't you nervous about people crashing into your equipment? That would've my main concern. Looks like you all had fun. I haven't been roller skating in along time. You did a good job. When I first got back into doing about 10 years ago, I got called to do a high school dance. I had no lights at all so I had to run around and look for some inexpensive lights. I did find some lists at guitar center that were on sale for around 50 dollars and a couple spotlights for 10 dollars a piece. They were old but they did the job.

There's always some risk of someone crashing into the gear, but to be honest, it's most likely to be myself that does it. Lol
We've all been skating together since we were teenagers, so I trust their skating for the most part, and the risk is worth it for my skate family. Actually, it's because of rollerskating that I ever got into DJing, so for me they kind of go hand in hand.

This is pretty awesome man. Those light beams are like a thousand dollars each I have a idjnow catalog. I looked them up on ebay completely awesome. I don't know alot about this stuff but id love to be your friend lol do you use DMX controllers and all that? Ebay just sold 24 light beams with a main controller with some awesome lighting
The lights on top of the totems are actually pretty reasonably priced on Amazon. I have a video on them you can check out if you like. Unfortunately, they are unavaliable at the moment, at least here in Canada. But I believe that's because of the current world situation.
I currently don't run them DMX, just master/slave. I'll see if I can put a link to my review of them here.
Also, I plan on doing more videos on the beginning stages of becoming a DJ. How to initially get started, what you need, and that sort of thing.

How do you like your mackie thumps?
They're pretty decent. Good enough for a starter DJ. I haven't been able to get them to clip yet, so they do put out pretty good. They are only the 12 inch, but that pairs fairly well with my subs. Not the best sound quality out there, but with a little EQ and tweaking, they do the job well enough. Having said this though, I haven't had them long, and don't have much to compare to. Once I get some more real world use out of them, I'll do a review on them.
At this event, I was easily able to make it way too loud with the thumps. But to get some more bodies in the venue will be a better test.
