the best hitter in baseball, any baseball fan can appreciate what he does. Power to literally every side of the diamond, consistency, high average, he’s made to swing
Loved watching 28 smash homeruns for my hometown Dbacks but their loss is Boston's gain. I pull for the Dbacks but the Sox and Patriots are my teams. Now I am enjoying the hell out of him being in Boston and killing the Yankees. As I sat here and watched this vid, couldn't help but chuckle at the fact that 28 hit his first homer with the Red Sox againt none other than the Dodger ace. How ironic, the only HR he hit in the WS, you guessed it, it was against Klayton Krushaw. How sweet is that.
I saw Ramirez trotting home in front of J D a few times there. I forgot that he was still with the Sox early in the season. Reminds me of Nomar leaving and then the Sox win the WS that year. They’re the Pete Bests of baseball.
HispanicCausinPanic he literally said he’s happy to have JD replace him how can you interpret that any differently 😂 I never argued or debated anything I said I disagree I do think he’s building a similar legacy that gives him the same role as Ortiz... calm yourself.
TN Nutmeggorgon he doesn’t mean it like that though. He meant it in a different way. Cause the Red Sox prolly needed another big hitter like he was. (I don’t keep up with the red s cause you have to pay for that where I’m at) but anyways yeah. He saying like he’s glad they ANOTHER GOOD player replace him. Instead of someone that wouldn’t help. Like it’s a good choice. It’s not like they said “Ortiz you gotta go cause we got this new kid coming in” . He left, Red Sox needed another good player, an now they got him, an he’s happy that this new person is on the team, cause it’s obviously a good choice..so far.
Lynch Stephen not to mention he's literally the most consistent hitter in baseball history, going on 4 straight seasons with a .247 batting average. Y'all right tho, good player, 35-40hr a year with an average that leaves room for even more
mopitchbeast nobody hits triple deck opposite field homeruns. Not too many people hit as many opposite field homeruns as he does. He does crush them to center and left though
He is able to keep his high batting average because he hits to all parts of the field so he doesn’t f up his swing trying to pull home runs all the time
This guy is worth every single penny 💵
Exactly " VIVA PUERTO RICO" GORedSox!
he's Cuban idiot. And puerto rico is not even a country.
Is he worth every Brad Penny?
Deez Nutz I guess he was refering to Alex Cora
With The Production He's Putting Up J.D Martinez Is Worth The Money

Hes gonna help ALOTTT to winning the World Series. That makes me feel so positive about winning it more now against cubs. Solid ass team now for sure.
HispanicCausinPanic you were correct. World series champs
21 of the 29 hrs with 2 outs.
Thats what happens when you bat 3rd or 4th in the lineup. Just look at how many Betts hits with 0 or 1 outs because he leads off.
Really is impressive how many of these are opposite feild, expecially in Fenway.
I love this man so much my heart might explode with happiness 😍⚾️❤️

74 HRs since the start of last season.
Theroux inhuman
Amazing how many of these are oppo, mark of a great hitter.
best hitter in baseball
He is one of my favorite players of all time who have played in the MLB. The reincarnation of Babe Ruth.
GO Red Sox GO!!! ⚾⚾⚾ #YankeesAreAss
I saw Ramirez trotting home in front of J D a few times there. I forgot that he was still with the Sox early in the season. Reminds me of Nomar leaving and then the Sox win the WS that year. They’re the Pete Bests of baseball.
Could You Imagine Nomar On This Red Sox Team In 2018 Which Includes J.D Martinez Himself
On the pace to beat David Ortiz’s home run record and more
But nobody will ever beat Barry Bonds record. A.K.A. Steroids
Its funny how many he hit dead center or opposite field
Lmfao that one he hit off Estrada was like up at his shoulders...
Thats the real MVP JD
By my count 6 (maybe 7) were actually to left field. That's amazing..
Had this weird double-take reaction, like, "Oh yeah, Hanley was there for awhile."
Amazing how many of his home runs are during the day games or early in night games (still light or at least twilight).
My Dream before I kick the bucket is to go to one more Red Sox game at Fenway
Just dingers Martinez
The Red Sox are World Champions
Red Sox are the best
Alexander Remington literally no one can disagree, best record in the MLB
Robert Dunn best record doesn’t mean anything unless you win the title.
Dino's Games988 bet watch
Hey, Wanna Play? True
First team to go to 80 this season
MVP THE END
Better than Stanton JD fan favorite
Red Sox United absolutely, and for like less than half price
He getting 50 hrs
amaury joel I would say 45 at the highest prolly 42 lowest. An like Red Sox so yeah.
He’s gonna get more at the World Series though. Not saying more than now but he’ll get some there too.
My dude feasts on oppo tacos holy shit.go sox🌮
Ortiz happily retired and I am happy to have J.D. replacing him.
J J I wouldn’t say he’s replacing Papi but he’s certainly building a similar legacy in Boston
To be honest I wish we had gotten encarnacion at the end of 2016 because imagine him and JD in a lineup together
TN Nutmeggorgon he’s not saying that, he’s just saying he’s happy to have another guy on the team to save the Red Sox like he did.
HispanicCausinPanic he literally said he’s happy to have JD replace him how can you interpret that any differently 😂 I never argued or debated anything I said I disagree I do think he’s building a similar legacy that gives him the same role as Ortiz... calm yourself.

are the Red Sox the most well traveled team in baseball??? Regarding fan support
Doesn't Khris Davis have 29 rn too
Kryptonlte thats rn, his was in the first half
JD has 32 atm
Just checked, thanks for the polite response!
He does and he is incredibly underrated, he’s had 40+homers and 100 plus rbis for the past 2 years and probably this year too
Lynch Stephen not to mention he's literally the most consistent hitter in baseball history, going on 4 straight seasons with a .247 batting average.
Y'all right tho, good player, 35-40hr a year with an average that leaves room for even more
He should have had 30-35 home runs because of wind
Gotta get me a jersey from him now one day
Gotta get me a Ortiz, red Williams, Mel OTt, an now this dude
W
I hope when he gets inducted into the Hall of Fame he goes in as a tiger 🐯⚾
Nah i hope red sox
He is a sox fan and player at the same time
nope it will be Red sox where he won a ring
What about Jose Ramirez crushing 30 homeruns in the first half of the season
。很為二十八号高興揮出全壘圢你們赢了恭喜恭喜也祝福子偉明年順利上-軍這樣我就可以每天看到你的成績為你加油為你歡呼鼓掌天氣冷注意身體拜拜
Just don’t let those fn Yankees kidnap him.
hi
hi
Impressive obviously, but idk about “crushed.” 90% of these dudes homers just barely get over the fence
mopitchbeast

9:18
If he couldn’t crush the ball he wouldn’t have 32 homeruns ,
Nobody with below average power is gonna have 32 at this point in the season
Haha funny how "90%" of your life is a failure mo 😂😂😂
Read the comments i predicted this
I'm a sad Diamondbacks fan
that's steroids but the big league only makes it test the latin players because there are many who use. steroids that are not Latin
In what universe is a dude named Julio Martinez not Latino?
You're a Moron seriously Get Help!
Julio Daniel Martinez idiot
