Ascension was boosted for also being a multiplayer map. Outbreak(CW) was knocked down for a being a multiplayer map. Whole list was inconsistent

How is Alpha Omega F and Nuketown is B when Alpha is an expanded and improved version of nuketown with better sounds, enemies, story, wonder weapons, avogadro, and broken arrow?
BO4 isn’t the best looking Treyarch game and AO is one of the uglier ones. Nuketown BO2 zombies captured a nice aesthetic
Alpha omega is also a garbage map so that doesn’t help. I’d play old nuke town over it any day, but that’s also because bo2 is just the better game.

I’m a big Lex fan but I have to agree. The spirits on blood that you see throughout the Easter egg, the spirits coming out of the shield, all the Easter eggs and references to the original crew. The magma gat, golden spork knife. The call back to Al Capone too. So many great details so I think it has a better aesthetic than mob.
Yeah I think blood should be higher but mob has better aesthetics. Lex made the good point where mob feels like you're playing as an escaping prisoner and blood feels like you're playing as the warden
@@moonman_01 that’s fair. I kinda like how you hold the wardens key out and it has control over the souls. Kind of symbolizes the story of the Warden and the shadow man’s control over the entire realm. My point was that they’re closer than Lex put them, but it could definitely go either way.

The list seems like it wasn't made based off of aesthetics. But then again, these are really difficult to make. especially when you have a connection to each map so it's difficult not to have biased opinions on some maps. would love to see a redo of this though

While both Mauer der Toten, and Forsaken are almost entirely comprised of re-used assets.

Honestly, Tag deserves to be in S Tier. The way the sun hits the snow just gives the map a warm tone even in siberia. One of the best looking maps of all time imo.

Besides somehow putting Nacht a whole tier above Verruckt, this is pretty accurate. I just can’t get over the Verruckt thing. It should be S. it does the exact same thing that Mob did, just a little bit worse. But not enough to warrant a whole tier between them.

to be fair, ive always really enjoyed playing IW zombies. i think the developers tried something different and the community wasnt a fan of that at the time. i have such fond memories of IW zombies, itll always be a special game for me
Low key, Die Rise is a really good looking map to me. I love the different rooms, how the sliquifier shoots colorful goop, and the sky box is my favorite of any map. The problem with Die Rise is that the map sucks so bad that I can’t even enjoy how nice it looks 😂😂

Bro have you ever seen The Swamp Thing? Because Zet hit the mark with the aesthetics. I love the look of the map. I feel like it captured the swamp essence perfectly.
Just wanted to point this out, most of the locations in bo1-bo3 were all unique, epic and interesting (pentagon, moon, shangrila, ancient medival castle, ww1 battlefield, alcatraz, stalingrad, old western town time travelled to egypt) while all the cold war locations are just random military facilities with very little substance
SoE aesthetics had Noah J looking for hidden Easter eggs for 8 hours a day. Easily #1

Voyage being S tier is completely deserved, such an iconic setting but let down by its gameplay. Ascension is definitely average though, particularly the Bo1 version. Otherwise solid list.

I gotta heavily disagree with the Shaolin take. The map’s got the subways yea, but it’s got a lot more locations from the Black Cat Dojo to the Disco Inferno, not to mention Pack being in a Strip Club.

I don't get why Cold War gets flack for using campaign assets when Lex literally praised Ascension for being a mission, multiplayer and zombies map. I honestly always like that aspect, it helps me get used to the map quicker.
I think it’s because ascension actually feels like you’re playing zombies because of good lore, voice actors, monkeys, and Lunar Landers. The only thing I notice in Cold War is barriers and perks

Shadows of Evil is without a doubt the most beautiful map of all time, and it's not even close.
Shadows definitely has my all time favorite aesthetic
i think blood gets way to much hate from an all around stand point when its literally the same exact map with 2 new parts. the aesthetic for mob and blood are different while mob your trying to leave prison, blood ur trying to leave the dimension.

Think he was confusing aesthetic with atmospheric. Very similar ideas but aesthetics by definition go more into the beauty and artfulness themselves, when atmosphere is more towards creating a certain environment. Maps like nacht or town are examples of atmosphere taking precedence to the aesthetics
If we go off of iconic then I agree with some of them but lex you said you was going off the looks of the map and as much as I love nach it's not a S tier I would probably put it above Die rise but good list you honestly make my favorite list

Nah, zetsubou deserves S tier bro. The spores, the spiders and spider boss fight, the skull, the water, the plants, the KT4 - everything serves such a vital purpose in creating its identity. You can have problems with the map but you can’t knock its aesthetic

Bro really ranked “aesthetics” by every single other contributing factor but aesthetics lmao. I’m not big in WW2 gameplay but they have some of the most atmospheric maps in the whole series. No other zombies mode feels just quite as horror-esque as WW2 and the grimy, run down, abandoned, and ancient maps you play on add to the horror aspect especially darkest shore with starting on the beach and the fog that rolls in.

BO4 has many objective problems, but I love it, and have many hours played, because the aesthetic for most of the maps is elite. I also don't really care for DE, and I think it's because the aesthetic just doesn't work for me. Thank you for the amazing content. Jesus loves you.
In my opinion, zombies looked better when things were darker and more grey, brown, and red. Zombies is supposed to be dark and gritty, not a saturday cartoon
Kino so low? Kino hit that perfect run down nazi theater vibe for me so well. I remember Turing on the power and the curtain lifting and just seeing the beauty of the destroyed theater room. And then you have the projector projecting reels you find around the map. Idk, it felt really nice

Buried has an amazing asthetic. The vibes from the spooky witches house, the round change music, the spawn room machinery sounds, the beams of light shining through the caves above, the vultures aid perk jingle, the occasional trees and grass looking like a small oasis of life in the underground desert, and it does all of this with while still feeling like a western town. The cowboy zombies are awesome too. So so so many great aesthetics choices I could go on forever lol. My favorite map
@@aggressivefox454 i agree totally. he rated ancient evil so high while yes it has more depth with the mythology. i just feel it cant beat out buried at all. when it comes to atmosphere.
@@itsjustmeraki I think if ancient evil had a map layout that felt more like an underground city then that could have worked? Like with buried the court, the bar, or any building for that matter feel like the building they are meant to represent because it isn’t just a straight line through the building. With ancient evil, the whole map just feels like a bunch of paths with no real destination.

Accession is a horrible looking map, it's gray worh no color half the time, and then it's oversaturated when you turn the power on, gameplay on accession is nice, but in terms of looks it's bad
