The Bats, The Clean, The Chills, Verlaines, Sneaky Feelings... the early 80's output from Flying Nun records in Dunedin is stellar. The jangly-est of jangle pop.

Would also add The Jean Paul Sartre Experience and Terminals etc. Tall Dwarfs and Chris Knox, Alec Bathgate and David Kilgours first two solo albums are choice. Aussie stuff I'd say too, like The Reels and The Cannanes, and a Wicked band called The Moles who did an album called Untune the Sky. band called Nice also that did an LP in 1990 I think, S/T.
