Haha, but so stupid as James and Ste are so different and it is not trustworthy and JP can feel it. I really hope though that James helps Ste with a job and shows his good sides now. Idk I feel like I too wouldn't be on speaking terms with the ex-husband who chose my student that nearly had me fired because he couldn't come out after said ex-husband cheated on me with not only said student but the the said student's stepsister. And then when given the chance to reunite the ex husband still chose the student.

JP proposed to Ste in the end of 2015 but Ste wanted Harry and in the beginning of 2017 Ste slept with JP because he had a fight with Harry and JP was left alone as James needed to go away for work but in the morning Ste realized he really wanted Harry and James found out about this night and James and JP broke up and Ste said goodbye to JP who wanted to go away from Hollyoaks and this last scene between them was onscreen.

I could see John Paul and Ste eventually being an old married couple but as John Paul said, it's not time yet, right now they need passion not just settling for a best friend... So I could easily see them in the next 20 -30 years settling down and being one of the older couples in hollyoaks who finally decide their time has come to "settle" for a best friend marriage. When a companion is more valuable than the drama, sex and addictive love.
