This JP storyline is very important- glad to see Hollyoaks tackle it, helps that Callum and James are brilliant together. Even though I really hate seeing JP being abused and hurt.
hahahahahahaha Kieron is so good at comedy too hahaha, then paired with James "chef's kiss". Also Ste isn't going all goo goo gaa gaa over James for James to push him away like he usually does after a hookup, except with Harry but he enjoyed playing with Harry knowing he had the upper hand with the money in the beginning, with this, they're just two men, and Ste's just matching energy for energy hahaha.
Well, Ste knew that James is very snobby so he shouldn´t even be surprised. They only want sex from each other but if they dispise each other´s interests and values, the attraction can´t really be there. It will never be amazing....

The problem with giving Ste a new guy, is that this show is a hit or miss with new characters. I think they think pairing a fan favourite with a new nobody would anger fans more then a fling/romance with James.

Haha, fair point. Honestly, it’s almost refreshing to me, this is usually just a problem with het pairings, and the fact that’s is one with the gay characters is almost refreshing. Ultimate equality, we can ALL suffer now.
He even had the audacity to make JP promise him that he won't "hurt" him again. Unbelievable. I can't help but think about the thousands of people who go through this kind of toxicity every day.
The gaslighting is literally painful to watch. I really can’t believe how easy it is to do and no matter how smart you are, you may not be smart enough to see through it. JP started the conversation believing one thing and ended the conversation believing another. The manipulation was so thorough that it carried on in JP’s head even when George wasn’t there. I shudder to think about the people that goes through this in real life. Kudos on Hollyoaks for doing this storyline. On a shallow note, Sutton is not aging well. I’ve been following Ste and JP for a decade and a half now and Ste is aging like fine wine while JP is just... not. His face looks sunken in and he constantly has bags under his eyes. They really need to do more with his makeup because he’s the only character I notice with this problem male or female, regardless of age. Tony, Nancy and Mercedes are also long running characters and the years don’t show on them the way they do JP.
I used to love reading ur comments in the Robert and Aaron storyline, fancy seeing you here! And agreed, Ste used to look underage most the time I found and now that he’s filled out, I find him ten times better looking. Idk what happened with Sutton, he looks gaunt and like he’s to old for the skin he’s in. I’m glad I am not the only one who noticed.
I think Sutton looks as handsome as ever and I don't think we should focus on their looks too much anyway? Why would you say someone hasn't aged well when there is literally nothing someone can do about it? People age, get over it. James Sutton is a beautiful legend with bags under his eyes and all. I do agree on the first part of your comment though, the gaslighting is hard to watch but it's an important storyline indeed!

It´s George that makes it all so big and difficult instead of apologising for the slap/punch and realize that it was wrong. There is no real caring and loving side to him. George gets angry because JP hesitate about moving in together. Anyone would react that George is so selfish.

It’s what happens to straight people all the time. Hollyoaks is just the first show to have enough gays on long enough for it to happen to them. This is what equality looks like my friend. George is also a long running straight character trope as well; introduce a too good to be true gorgeous person to start a relationship with a long running character that gaslights them and messes up their lives.

it's really clear that George is manipulating JP emotionally which is why so many people don't see the signs of an abusive partner earlier. They make you think you are the problem and make you depend on them. I think this will be an interesting storyline, especially for those who struggle with this IRL.
