    I love these big Star Trek models. More than that, I love watching you build them.

    I have this exact kit as well as the lighting kit. I'm not good with electronics. How did you attach the new LED strips to the existing power supply?

    • @modelsbychris
      @modelsbychris  11 месяцев назад

      I used my own power supply and LEDs. Only a few LEDS from a kit were used. Most of it is all custom.

    Awesome work and high quality documentation again Chris. Was wondering what camera you‘re filming this with.
    Wasn‘t aware of the LED strips that Paul at Paragrafix seems to offer, gonna have to check those out! Lack of led-know-how kept me from lighting models in the past, so those might help :)
    One more thing: Any news regarding the stolen models from your storage unit? Still kinda hoping you‘ll get those back..

      Yea, Paul has them in different colors as well.
      Nothing on the stolen items. I don't ever expect anything honestly. We still think it was an inside job of the facility. I'd say I replaced about 90% of models from insurance money, but I can never replace those 25 years of home videos of my family. 😪

      Oh, and I use my 10 year old Canon T2i DSLR. Love that camera

    What are you using for the diffusion screen?

    • @modelsbychris
      @modelsbychris  2 года назад +3

      Just go to Amazon and type in photo diffusion gel. Lots of options there. But that's what I'm using. They come in different opacities as well.

    Hi Chris. This looks amazing. What material were you using for that diffusion on the lights?

    • @modelsbychris
      @modelsbychris  2 года назад

      Photo diffusion gel. Can be easily found on Amazon.
