Bruh, the MV8000 has been my workhorse for 17 years. Very underrated/misunderstood machines. Aside from speed, they both offer superior sound crafting potential. Even though I have acquired some newer gear along the way. My MV is still my baby. Once you get your workflow down, it’s very easy to get your ideas out quickly. Definitely, my favorite to manage all my midi gear. Having a GREAT sequencer, with lots of polyphony. Keep em coming. ✌🏾👍🏾✊🏾
Would you prefer the 8800 over the 8000 ? Was trying to cop a 8800 but i can't seem to find them at a decent price, did find a 8000 though but i am not sure what way to go ....
@@Roomer645 hope you get the mv8000 at a good price I'm getting my second one that I found cheap also and they ain't much different between the two from what I have found especially if you're looking to get the VGA out on the mv8000
Bought mine when it came out and still use it to this day! I really don’t mind the slowness though; when you’re cookin good food, it takes time, you feel me? LOL I also have an MPC X and a Force…and I still come back to the MV! I guess you’d have to have one to really understand… Nice video!
Yes sir !!! ✅✅💯💪🏽 I just got back this MV 8800 this week and the mv 8000 about a month ago, I don’t believe I’m getting rid of minds no time soon ! I made the mistake before 1 year ago
You forgot to mention the 8800 had a CD burner where as the 8000 had a floppy disk drive. Also the VGA output came standard on the 8800 where as you needed to by an expansion card for the 8000. Those are a few big differences that come to mind.

Hands down one of the most underrated machine to ever come this and the SP12 are my joints the 8800 is my shit I love my Mpc 3000 but the 8800 and SP12 sick joints
Totally agree with you! I still use them too, if you want to be creative then this tool has everything you need and it's great, and if you need fast production then it's PC cubase or MPCX
I sold it a couple of years ago because the workflow was too clunky for me. For the rest it is a beautiful peace of equipment and i still miss the rich, warm and pristine sound that's coming out of this unit.
I have the MV 8000 with the floppy drive and CD Burner. It still has flavor or to spare. A legendary piece of gear.keep making videos brother .They are excellent.
My dumb self could have bought one from guitar center in my area for $250 about 5 years ago but i passed...im kicking myself now. they got popular again
After my research, I found that you can’t save effects presets in the 8000, and you have certain presets missing in the Cosm effects and Mastering section in the 8000, crisp and bangin sound, I love my 8K
Dope video! Thanks. Most of your videos have been with the MPCs so it was cool to see you with the MV. It would be great if you made another video showcasing your workflow on the MV in the future.…And wow, how’d you get so many MVs???✌🏿
I had one new back in the day. I liked the unit but the sequencing could be buggy? I think the concept is bang on point though. Sometimes you just want to leave the daw and find alternatives. I might track down one as cheap as possible, then maybe pair it with an atari running cubase.

8000 has both floppy disk drive and cd drive
@@virux349 You are correct. I was incorrect
They removed the floppy disc from the MV-8800. I own an 8800. One of my favorite standalone machines.

Hey, I'd love to see a sound comparison between this and an MPC. How does it compare to a classic MPC?
ok I will do

That 8800 Color scheme is dope that’s why I copped one to add back to my setup

May Yahweh bless you and your channel brother
Whsts the big mixer in the back?
You should do a comparison between the mpc 60 and 3000 with the MC-8800
Does it sound better than the mpc 3000 ?
Big up Bro 👊🏽 thank for the heads up
Who repairs these my jog wheel starting to go. Start toggling to go down and it gos up after a couple scrolls down. 😢
Thanks 5⭐

That desk with the dm-3200 is nice. Did you build it yourself?
I bought with the mixer but yes it was custom made

I agree I like how it reads 8800 more than 8000
What is slow about it?
Dope
I don't want to colorate my sound. I want to tweak my sound that's why I use MPCs
💯💯💯💯
Dope vid fam
