Thanks a lot for the video ! I spilled some honey on the trackpad of my

would like to clean it. Do I "just" need to remove the battery to

Dell specs say the max is 16GB of memory. You stated that you can upgrade the memory to 32GB? Will the system recognize that size? Thanks for any info. Greatly appreciate your help.

I'm planning to upgrade my dad's inspiron for his birthday. I want to replace the touch pad (he has to use a mouse because it doesn't work anymore) and upgrade the ram and perhaps ssd to 1tb. Thanks for this introduction! I don't know if he has the 7791 model but they look exactly alike. I'll have to inspect it when he's not looking (it's going to be a surprise so I hope I don't mess it up). Do you do videos for very old laptops?

    • @ItsBinhRepaired

That's very kind of you, but be very careful with that. Wouldn't want to lose all his data in the process.
If you could get the service tag (ST) number (usually on the bottom) I could look up the exact model.

    • @ItsBinhRepaired

    • @andreim7808

@@ItsBinhRepaired Unfortunately the problem is the BitLocker itself… I can’t log in because I don’t have the key, and never installed it in the first place… Couldn’t get any help not from Microsoft not from Dell… It’s been very frustrating… So instead of wiping it clean & loosing all the data, i was told that the hard drive could just be replaced & i get to keep the old one with all the data on it & hope that maybe someday Microsoft will release the solution to access the old drive. If there’s any other way to unlock it/bypass BitLocker I’d rather do that then replace a harddrive 😩

Few weeks ago I suddenly got a Message "Hard Drive not installed" on my Dell Inspiron 17-7000(7778) (i5 processor) series and couldn't access Windows anymore, this was after a lot of years of ongoing screen freeze alongside other issues that we had on 2 same Inspiron laptops since day one and have reported to Dell but unfortunately Dell Customer Service and Support have Failed to Address the Core Issues tell warranty Expiration.
Now I would like to try and upgrade to SSD M.2.
In Setup and Specifications THE ONLY THING I FOUND is that I can Install One-m.2 drive and One-2.5 inch drive.
Is Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 (1TB) or pro series compatible?, There woulden't be any Bios issues? And is there a limit of storage capacity that my 4-5 Year old Inspiron-17-i5 can handle on both Hard Drives (primary and secondary). Thanks.
