I'm obsessed with gardenias. I've planted 37 of them in 4 years. Each variation smells different. Shakai makes the best gardenia smelling products soap, lotion and shower gel.
I only have 8 gardenia bushes, but that will change by the end of spring. We will be planting more of my favorite flower around the entire fence in the back yard.
Fun fact: There is no way to extract the scent from a gardenia, so all gardenia notes in perfume are synthetic.I have a Gardenia bush in my yard, and it's sweet and spicy, not light and airy.

I couldn't disagree more regarding the Estee Lauder Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia. It is not overpowering it is simple and very clean. The Tuberose is the scent that dominates and not everyone can handle the richness. I think it's a perfect balance and a perfect lovely combination of my 2 favorite flowers. I wear this all the time.

I like Chanel's Gardénia, Estée Lauder's Tuberose Gardenia and Kai's Kai perfume. Kai is definitely my most favorite of the bunch and smells like the flower on the bush. I know this, because I grow them in my garden at home. I really want to try that Jo Loves Gardenia perfume though! It sounds divine. I'd also like to smell Hawaiian Forever Florals Gardenia too, so I have heard that also smells amazing really realistic smelling.

I always "think" I know what this smells like, but then I find perfumes that surprise me (in a good way), and have NO Lily of the Valley in them! I am considering a blind buy of Molinard's EDP called "Muguet" and would love to hear your thoughts! (apparently IFRA is changing regulations about the LOTV-related perfume ingredients, as well) IFRA = Int'l Fragrance Association Muguet = French word for Lily of the Valley

yess, tbs english gardenia included in this video, I prefer this one than Fijian Lotus one since they almost smelled the same..it's heavier in the scent and has a more solid molecule I think😄

The gardena perfume from the body shop has been discontinued as well the body shop is making cuts to only sell our top 100 products. Gardenia is not a top seller. The jasmine and cherry blossom white musk and black musk stayed however the UK has some products we don't have in the us.

I want to like creed...but the fact the lied about their history is a bit off putting for me. They are a quality brand, just don’t like that they mislead people to thinking they are a historic brand just because they bought the name from a historic tailoring business.

One other frangrance that comes close to the gardenia scent is Sand & Sable. Inexpensive, but nice to wear during south Florida summers.
Sand and Sable was popular when I was in high school in the early 90s. I didn’t know this perfume was still being produced.

Yves Rocher made a gardenia fragrance some years ago. The only thing I found to smell like a true gardenia. It has since been discontinued.

I love to wear Chanel Gardenia, Creed Fleurs de Gardenia and Hermès Jour d'Hermès Gardenia. I think that's the perfect period to wear them 😊

I’ve figured out that the note Gardenia gives off that bug spray smell on my skin, unfortunately.I try to avoid gardenia heavy fragrances. Great video

La Panthere is very interesting. I like bnb it because in the dry down it smells like Zest or Irish spring. So does La Panthere legere.

Hmm well a lot are tropical so might not be in garden centre. It’s a good question. Essential oils might be best?
