I wish if the indian dance reality shows promoted such dances rather than western ones...Anyways,Odissi is a pure form in itself,enchanting,mesmerizing. It doesn't need any promotion. It is eternal.
Odissi dance western odisha mein hota toh bht acha hota, mere jaisa bahut log honge joh chahta hue bhi nai sikh paye,as becoz we dont have odissi schools in our area or nearby area,now my time is gone and from childhood wat I was willing to dance did not make it happen, now I only watch others dancing. So those who have learnt, its God's grace and also their luck.
@Sipra Mohapatra which language you are speaking ?? Odisha speaks hindi I was not aware I thought odisha has its own classical language called Odia which also is the official language of the state! When we have people who encourage and speak in some non native language among the people of your own state how can we expect odissi to reach the world or even the parts of state and how will people know about own state??no-one else but you guys are the true culprit for it non proud Odias who are mere copy cats of north idnia
