    Man, I just used Speed O Kote epoxy sealing primer, and SpeedoKote 2k Urethane to paint my old Toronado restoration (Nason Base and Clear), and it came out fantastic. I did it all in my garage. Been watching you, and Paint Society, and Garage Noisde, and KandyMan, and SprayWay Customs for a long time for explanations and pointers on how to do it. Thanks to all you guys for your guidance. I made a few noob FU's, but they were easy to correct.

    That is quite amazing. I'm in Sparks, NV and I build high performance motorcycles, so I can't spray inside, has to be outside. I am very new to painting and cold is a real problem. I'm 69 and suddenly decided I wanted to paint my drag bike. Why, I can't remember, nothing new. It has been a real wake up, I found I should have never attempted to try and paint. I did finally realize that painting outside in the cold was a dumb idea. Anyway, thank you for the very informative video, I still can't get over that finish, I thought for sure is was going to run - beautiful!!!!

    Hi Marco, sorry but for some reason I missed this video good old YT not giving me any notifications again🤦‍♂superb job on this front end respray doing it in cold temps is not easy but this one came out amazing👌the clear you used looks like a good product.
    I was lucky enough to be asked to test a pre-release low temp clear for a company which gave a flash time of 4 mins and a cure to polish time of 30-40mins but this is at 20C it's mainly for smart repairers out on the road but you can cure to polish in 4mins with a IR lamp, it's not as good as you have here but ideal for mobile painters here👌🙏👍John UK

    Really great work on this video. The tip about just laying on another coat of clear is super helpful and definitely works. Sherwin Williams FC740 is what the two local suppliers in my area sell. I have been struggling like crazy to get it to lay flat. It can be done, but my technique has to be perfect which it is not. I saw your video comparing clears recently. I wonder if some brands of clear are much easier than others when it comes to orange peel.

      @speedokoterefinishnetwork4937  Месяц назад

      @@paulpainter3065 appreciate it man. And if you have to struggle to get a flat finish , it could be a few things , but I'll tell you , there are clear coats out there that even if your technique isn't 100% perfect you can still get a flat finish . This boils down to product quality.

    How much reducer in the clear 3:1 was added to get your spraying viscosity!?.. .

    • @speedokoterefinishnetwork4937
      @speedokoterefinishnetwork4937  Месяц назад

      @@bobadingo I only added a cap full (about half an oz) of fast reducer just to get it to dry a little quicker . Didn't change viscosity or spraying or anything.
      This clear naturally flows out very flat and glossy in under 40 temps

    @speedokoterefinishnetwork4937 question? Base coat spray can.
    Hey, I painted a side panel with a base coat spray can, but it looks uneven and some spots absorbed too much paint. Some look shiny then others how can I fix that before adding the clear coat?

    • @speedokoterefinishnetwork4937
      @speedokoterefinishnetwork4937  Месяц назад +1

      Scuff with 800-1000 grit , add another fine mist coat holding can back pretty far and evenly and lightly mist paint on so it's all uniform .
      Basecoat out of a can rarely works . But it can work !
