I don't understand why people in the comments keep saying Tamar and other women who care about credit are gold diggers. Notice Tamar said "we're trying to build" meaning she is bringing something to the table too. Credit checks are a way to see how people manage and handle their money. You can make $200K per year and still have horrible credit if you live beyond your means -- which is what a LOT of people do b/c they care about status and keeping up with the Jones'. It's not just about how much you make, but how you MANAGE what you make. Credit score can be one indicator of that.
The people saying that are poor and/or have poor credit. People that think about building know you can't mix with someone with bad credit and money handling skills.
I see where Tamera was coming from about Adam, but you should never assume someone has great credit just because they appear successful. That's what Loni was getting at.
Exactly. Look at Teresa and Joe from the NJ Housewives. They had a lavish home, expensive cars, luxurious material goods, etc. Turns out they were involved in illegal activity, they're bankrupt and have/will serve prison time.
I love Tamar! She brings something different to the table even though shes being herself. If only people would open their minds a lot more and accept the nature of a person the world would be a better place. God bless you girl!

Adrienne gave the best response. If you love someone you all work together to get the best from each other. I dont know what tamar was thinking. She going say they are a liar and thief, oh please. I know alot people today whose credit is not the best and it has nothing to do with them being a liar and thief; they ran through extremely hard financial times. Finances is one the TOP 3 reasons people get divorced. It may not be a good question to ask on a first date, but it is absolutely a question that needs to be addressed before deciding if you should have a serious relationship with that a person.
I agree wit Loni, yu shouldn't assume based on wat they have & their background or businesses... I agree wit Adrienne as well, yu could always work together to help build each other's credit....
having a business can actually mean you have bad credit if you borrowed too much based on your income. You can't assume these things. You can get him to tell you outright after dating a while or just glimpse at his card when he is about to pay it says debit if it is checking.
Exactly Adrienne. I agree; we're helpmeets for men. How can we build is the question...How can we make it better? Now, if you're uninterested in getting help, you're not the one for me anyways.

I do not believe in credit. The point of credit is debt to income, but why be in debt in the first place. If you pay all your debt off and don't buy on credit again your score goes down... What's the point? If we lived within our means and on a budget and not dependent on credit we can help the national debt. If I can't pay something off within 2-5 yrs I don't want it because that's stressful. If I ate a snickers today why wouldn't pay on it for years and years. If the US stopped living in so much debt there wouldn't be stock market crashes, housing collapses, low employment rates. It takes time to repair the damage we've already done( yes I've done it to), but if we deal with the slow climb to repair the US will flourish even more... But that's just my 2 cents...

Majority of people (in the US) are middle class and not rich which means they have to buy using credit, but that doesn't mean they aren't hardworking and trying their best.
This is the dumbest thing I've read all day. Even rich people take out mortgages. Taking out a loan doesn't mean you have no money for the thing you're buying. You need to have a savings and a financial cushion to fall back on in case you lose your job or the economy is struggling and your business is adversely affected. Very few people can pay $500,000 cash for a home. And if your suggestion is for people to just aim to be rich, good with that, buddy.
Ok, there is some very dangerous information being said in this segment. Bad credit doesn't mean you are either a liar or a thief, it generally means you are financially irresponsible. Even then it could mean your credit is temporary in a rough patch due to circumstance, such as unexpected medical bills, unnatural or natural disaster caused damage to your property or someone stolen your identity. The important thing is to ask your partner as to why they have bad credit and as Adrienne says try to fix it together. Remember good credit is important to the long term financial direction of the relationship but it shouldn't be your only deciding factor as whether or not the relationship should continue.
Hello you'll love ,so educative ,entertaining and really adorable ,i love you guys so much and am your number one fan ,i actually wait for my notification bell to ring every single day, here is the thing i wanna say ,i really don't know if you guys cheek on you're comments section and answer questions,in case you do ,i am asking what do you do when you're asked for a date by a guy but in the process of your date the guy just brings up his girlfriend's story like hes in a relationship and how he loves her and on the other hand he tells you he wanna make things workout with you.what does that mean??????????????????????????.
I stay tuning in to these RUclips clips and the Girl Chats, but I'm UBER curious to see how Season 3 will play out without TayTay, especially since she, Tamera and Adrienne have the strongest bond of the hosts. I don't think Jeannie is that close with either Tamera or Adrienne as Tamar is, but Loni seems close with everyone.
I'm 23 and trying to establish credit now. I just bought a car from a dealership and think about getting a low limit credit card. Any advice for my seasoned and wise folk. Because My goal is a small 2 bedroom house by 30-35. Also credit only becomes a problem depending on age. I can't expect good credit from my man when I don't have nair myself. But we can work on it together. Grow spiritually, emotionally, mentally, financially, and physically 😜. 😂😂😂
I highly recommend Financial Peace University by Dave Ramsey. Girl, best financial advice and decisions you'll ever need. Wish I had done the program when I was your age.
Do not make late payments!!!! Life happens, so if you are going to be late, call them and explain your situation. They will work with you. Never ignore your bills bc you're going through a financial difficulty.
with your credit card make sure you don't make late payments on your credit cards and another huge aspect that effects your credit score is utilization. Your balances can't exceed 30% of your limit or it will effect your credit negatively. So if your credit limit is 300 then you can't have a balance higher than $90. And I recommend always keeping track of your credit. I personally use credit karma to check it on a weekly basis, it might not be 100% exact but it is a very close estimate to what your actual credit score is.
Great advice so far with NEVER MAKE LATE PAYMENTS....DONT USE ALL THE CREDIT (utilization)... another one is LENGHT OF TIME CREDIT IS OPEN (try to make this atleast 5 years or more) meaning make sure it will take longer than 5 years to pay off your car or try to keep an active credit open for at-least 5 years.
I know if I'm dating to get married or be together for a long time, I don't want somebody with bad credit. & I wouldn't be offended if someone asked me because I would want to know if I were them & if they ask me first, then I don't have to feel bad about asking them
As long as that person is trying to get out debt and fix their credit, I see nothing wrong with being with someone who has bad credit. Majority of people have suffered from some financial situation where their credit may be bad but if they are showing that they are trying to fix it, then I see nothing wrong. If you love that person, then help them to improve their credit. Its no reason bad credit should be a deal breaker because bad credit can be fix.
I do agree that if a man wants to start dating he should already have his priorities in order before he going just finding a woman. the same for a woman.
You have to look at it from a different view sometimes. You know how many kids whose parents use their names on everything because their credit is bad? That's messed up. Sometimes kids credit be messed up and they don't even know about it until they go to get a loan for a house or a car. I'm just thankful that I have very great credit and that my mom wasn't the type of mom to use my name or my sister's name on things that she wanted to get. But sometimes kids credit be bad as a child because of the parents or who controls their social security cards and everything. I feel bad for the people who are going through that right now.
Not on the date tho, If you've been dating long enough it should just come up in a conversation. I wouldn't ask up front, "Hows your credit?" I would actually just observe their spending habits. that sounds like a marriage question though.
Jeannie and Tamar are just agreeing with Adrienne in the end but deep down they would definitely dump them man with bad credits like a bag of garbage. Adrienne has a better heart. If a man has a bad credit doesn't mean he is a bad person. He just didn't find his way yet with money. hahahahhold your fire cuz I think all the ladies are dope.

Hello you'll love ,so educative ,entertaining and really adorable ,i love you guys so much and am your number one fan ,i actually wait for my notification bell to ring every single day, here is the thing i wanna say ,i really don't know if you guys cheek on you're comments section and answer questions,in case you do ,i am asking what do you do when you're asked for a date by a guy but in the process of your date the guy just brings up his girlfriend's story like hes in a relationship and how he loves her and on the other hand he tells you he wanna make things workout with you.what does that mean??????????????????????????.
since Tamar got fired I find myself looking for little clues in the latest episodes... Loni's reaction to Tamar @ 1:41 looks like a clue to me....
Dumb ass these were recorded before she was fired.
+annie parker hence, clues as to *why* she was fired....
Dumbass.
Dumb is forever that would be you.
+annie parker reading is fundamental
xalleniex Bitch is forever what you are buh. bye
+Grisel Blanco thank you for replying will look into it.
Look at Tamar's edges out here flourishing 😱😍😆
I do agree that if a man wants to start dating he should already have his priorities in order before he going just finding a woman. the same for a woman.
The Real is gonna be nothing without Tamar! Just waiting for her show to come on😌
You have to look at it from a different view sometimes.
Yeah, I had a friend whose mom did that to her. that's why it's not fair to judge ppl with bad credit because it might not even be their fault.
peanutjelly exactly my point.
Not on the date tho, If you've been dating long enough it should just come up in a conversation. I wouldn't ask up front, "Hows your credit?" I would actually just observe their spending habits. that sounds like a marriage question though.
Where can I get that sweater Tamar is wearing I would DIE FOR IT
Message TheReal
Trying to decide if Loni is annoyed at life, or just high....
Lol Jeannie looks like a character from a sci-fi movie
Jeannie and Tamar are just agreeing with Adrienne in the end but deep down they would definitely dump them man with bad credits like a bag of garbage. Adrienne has a better heart. If a man has a bad credit doesn't mean he is a bad person. He just didn't find his way yet with money.
hahahahhold your fire cuz I think all the ladies are dope.
I love Tamar natural hair

But Tamar said its a deal breaker. & at the end she switches it up. Lies! 🤔
I couldn't date someone that didn't have good credit...if we get serious I don't want to have to worry about his debt! Bad credit and kids totally deal breakers for me!
