    Hi Glen,
I have just bought my first whip, and have been getting myself in the back, head, ears etc…..It wasn't till my girlfriend took pity on me and showed me how to actually use one. (I'm just a poor city kid and she is off the Darling Downs) But I have been watching this video of yours and with a bit of practice and a very sore arm, I have managed to get the stock mans crack and the start of the Sydney flash. My dad couldn't believe that I have picked it up so quickly……Now I can show him up too!
Thanks so much for the time and effort of this video!
    Tim

One of the most brilliant stockmen i've ever had the honour of meeting and learning from. Hope you're doing well Glen!! Still have all of your writings and ramblings safely in a box from almost 10 years ago. Are you still making your own whips? Would love to purchase one from you if so.

Boy Glen makes this look so easy and effortless. Trust me it’s takes some practice and protective gear like GLASSES. My ears, cheeks and forearms have the scars to prove it. While we were building our home we lived in an apartment complex for about a year. One day I went out into the courtyard to practice a bit and a lady screamed out of her window “what the hell are you doing you racist”! I was dumbfounded. She repeated herself again. Told her I was just practicing before I go to my brother’s farm in Texas. So glad we’ve moved out to the country where we can enjoy PEACE OF MIND without being judged for learning a skill. IDK why I felt compelled to add this tidbit but wondered if anyone else has run into this situation.
Also, make sure to ease your horse into this before cracking the whip 😂.
