- Welcome to Wonderhussy Adventure #775
Date of adventure: 2/12/24
My journalist friend Meg was writing a profile of me for a magazine, so I took her on an adventure that ended up crazier than we bargained for! We ended up in Pahrump, at a petting zoo/CBD farm that also sells alpaca fertilizer, called Nature Health Farms... and then the owner, Alex, took us for a ride in his Humvee to a gravel pit, where the Morales brothers gave us a tour. I learned a lot about aggregate, and got to pet a bunch of baby animals.... so overall, a GREAT day!

wonder hussy, wonderhussie, wonder hussie, wonder hussey, wonderhussey
Not an old sewing machine that is a movie projector.
A 8mm Dejur. Good machine. I collect Film projectors.
Oh what fun it is to ride along with WonderHussy!
Such young guys in the middle of nowhere making money!
@@RandallSchwedI have one if you would like to buy it.
That gave me a good chuckle. 😉
Pretty sure antique sewing machine was a joke. "I'm not familiar with womanly chores like sewing or the sewing machines to do it."
I hope you'll point us to the article when it's published.
I was going to post the same! I’d love to read the article.
Those guys at the gravel fell in love with Sarah and her friend. Can't blame em.
"Adventure buddy" is the accepted term.
I'll stick with friend. It doesn't sound silly and is more concise. I like to think for myself. Thanks for the suggestion. @@dlschgo
Kirby shovel
@@dlschgo I agree, adventure buddy sounds better.
What a cool place. I really like all the artifacts in the barn. I think that old "Sewing Machine", was a movie projector.
and that's a Boxster in the wild out front... or a Caymen... If you've got food critters will be your best friend! Wow! choices...
And the first "I don't know what that is" was a wine bottle corker.
an old 8mm film projector.... a lot of neat old stuff....
"What do you guys think that is?" at 3:29. It's a wine bottle opener. We used them in the dining room at El Tovar on the south rim of the Grand Canyon when I worked there in '83-'84.
I hope she turns you into the new Huell Howser.
This was a cute show. God's bundle of joys on a farm. Sometimes it's good to do a nature show and get away from lots of people. I hope you share the article when it's completed for us to read. Your writer friend is so cute. Big hugs from Santa Barbara. 👏🌹🍷🤗😘😎
Oh, so god begets Alpaca's ? They were "shaped" in the Andean mountain range as beasts of burden, mush. I'm pretty sure the very Sarah here would " have no truck" with that assumption, ya charlie !
He's an eclectic business man! Love it!
Very handsome too!
The petting farm has just been ordered to cease and desist selling alpaca poop because it has been identified as endangered feces! 😂 Great video, Sarah!
Endangered poop, what will the government think of next ????? 💩
Do research on roads. Some people will put up private property signs when the road itself is public/ national forest.
People growing illegally.
ask the public service if in doubt, 911
You don't know what fun is until you raise animals on a farm! One time we bought a Llama, turns out the Llama was a "Berserk" Llama - It had a Type A personality. Later it spit in my face and tried to stomp me to death. Luckily I didn't get injured but the spit in the face was an experience that you don't want to get twice!
😂
Alex seems like a man who is living his dream…what a fun place!
Just fantastic Wonderhussy, only you can make visiting a gravel pit a adventure ..love your story telling voice ..❤💫✨💃🌲🎉🥂🍾😃
Meg is an adorable surprise & welcomed company for you as well 😊
I have a feeling Wonderhussy that this will be the beginning of a great friendship. Very nice adventures today. Thanks for sharing ❤
My niece has a miniature horse. You cannot ride it but it is by far my favorite it doesn't kick you or bite or anything it just goes around the yard mowing it.. if you want to get horses I recommend using a small starter. And if you want one that bites and kicks and everything you can get a big one later.
lol. Love it! I love Pahrump. Thanks for going to more kool places and showing us all so we can explore
I loved every minute of this video! So yeah, I might be a little weird! You opened the world of the desert and how fascinating every part of God's world is. Thank you!!!!!💙🐎💙
Well, that was a load of fun!
🤠👍Thanks Wonderhussy for another wonderful adventure! 😮
Okay this is serious now. I had planned a full year for my road trip around the US and Canada, but the way Wonderhussy's adventures are going it looks like I will be exploring Death Valley for a full year, all by itself. As I keep saying this is the best tourism promotion for Nevada and Death Valley in the world!
Cool! Who knew!
I'm taking my aunt. She's 88.
But you still need to figure out how to get to the prospector's cabin.
Pops to Arturo. I would actually like to see a more in-depth show on their quarry operation.
Another fabulous adventure!!
You are a great reporter, you should have a regular show on TV.
I think I could ride that horse. Very calm demeanor.
Some of the best adventures are unplanned. 😊
Guccia is adorable.
Sara a never ending amount of wonder and adventure. God bless.
Spontaneous adventures are the best!
Great video Wonder Hussy! You have introduced us to another wonderful place to visit. Meg is a sweetheart! I met her at the Flea Market and then later at Kit Fox Cafe. I would truly love to read the article she wrote on you if you could tell us where we could find it.
Loved this adventure !!! My grandsons have moved out of state, but could adopt these nice young men !!! Happy trails 🧢
Yay Wednesday!! 😃
Yahhhhhhhh😉😉😉😉😉😉
I love the Nature Health Farms place and all the critters. Very nice. Thanks.
What an awesome place Alex has! I loved it!!
You are a beautiful person and I love the way you are and what you do,thank you for your time and your friends.
That was soooooo much fun! I love warm and fuzzy videos🤩👍🏻❤️
Hi Huss! Yippee! Wednesday happy adventures!!
Another Fun Day With WONEDERHUSSY !!!!! XXOO V
Rabbit poop is great for gardening, too. Doesn’t need to be composted first. It never burns.
I could have stood a lot more looking at Meg!
And you have a smile on your face all the time…. I love it !!!
Great video.
Delightful, as usual. The snow peaked mountains were beautiful. Love your open spirit!
Bell bottom pants. Chic!!!!!
i have one of those projectors like Alex had in the red barn out in my storage shed, the approximate same vintage, still works!
Yup, so many things used to be made to last forever.
Aw Meg!! She’s such a sweetheart!
Oh Sarah, as a knitter i truely enjoy this episode all the angora and alpaca.❤❤❤
Never a dull moment when you're riding with Wonderhussy!
Yeah, the 'old sewing machines' were projectors :-)
Let's rendezvous in Pahrump. I'll be there in five hours or so, depending on traffic.
Another great Video. You are so blessed to have these great places to visit and explore.
That video was absoulutly awsome!!! love the animals so much!! thank you for being you :):)
Great channel :)@@Wonderhussy_Adventure1
This place is crazy cool. Working petting zoo and farm with BnB no less. Alex is a great host. Journalist Meg should be
ready for anything especially when you ride with the Huss! Who knew that a gravel pit would be an exciting place to see!
Those guys are like modern day miners Wonderhussy getting "gold" out of the land. Aw that baby alpaca was so sweet!
A definite 9 out of 10 adventure!
I spent a night there and woke up with a miniature pig on my lap…. Great coverage.. glad you went
Excellent substitute adventure. Much more interesting subject than another miners cabin. And you didn't have to create a story about a cast of characters...I mean your tales are great Wonderhussy ❤but you can save it for another time. When Meg's article makes you an icon of Western lore, all the private property sites will be opened for you to peruse when you wish. Maybe a Pulitzer for Meg also. Stay well Sarah ❤❤🌲🌵😃
Way better episode than a prospector cabin! That writer is going to be busy 😁
Hot air balloons over the desert! absolutely fantastic! You must do that.
Meg is cute
THANKS!
Way too cool for school Sarah.
🇺🇸"scribbling frantically", you're so hilarious🎉WH💖and vEry interesting Video, fertilizer and farm impressive👍☕🇺🇸
Your videos are so great Sarah. They make me smile🤗. Thank you!🤗🌻
What a fun place. Love the animals and also the fact that you can also stay overnight...wow! A really good, fun video. 👍😊
I envy the man that has total peace with life in how he lives it!! May that go on forever for him!!
10:38 I know what You mean!! -I believe it was the late Ian Punnett, occasional host of Art Bell's Coast to Coast AM radio show, who every night at the start of the program regaled Listeners to pay homage to the 'PAINTING OF DOGS PLAYING POKER' in the kitchen as they prepare to kick back for the show!!!
UP, UP, AND AWAY! More you tube material!
Alpacas are so cool and soft. Recently, I was with a group that visited an alpaca farm near Lacey, WA. Not only do they have alpacas, but they also turn their fur into the softest yarn ever. They also do have a retail store on the property where they sell many things like hats, scarves, rugs, and other clothes made from the alpaca yard spun, and kitted into these items. If you ever get a chance to buy items made from 100% pure alpaca wool, you will not be disappointed in it's softness.
That one was a real pleasant surprise! What a totally rad farm and gravel pit, amazing. Way better than what anyone expected, and right in Pahrump! I'd love to plan a vacation around visiting everything in the area.
Thanks for another great trip and thanks for taking us along, I've been watching you long enough to know to expect the unexpected and this video did just that, thank you.
Nice meeting _Coastal Elitist Meg!_ 🤣
Baby Alpaca is adorbs!
I follow _Useless Farm_ and Amanda on RUclips with similar animals, but in Canada.
I had the chance to hand feed an alpaca once, a surprisingly delightful experience. I’m normally nervous around animals as big or bigger than me (more a cat person) but the big liquid eyes of the alpaca were totally disarming. I held out a handful of sheep nuts, and found out that alpacas have essentially prehensile lips that can hoover things up from your hand, great fun.
Some isolation is a good thing if you want to keep peacocks, they can be extremely loud. ❤😊
I had the same kind of experience with alpacas eating out of my hand and now I'm mystically in love with them.
Just beautiful. Stay warm.❤
Oh My Goodness Young Lady , You Say You Are Lucky , While That May Surely Be True .....The WONDER HUSSY World You Have Created Has Blessed Many People Out Here In Retirement World ( The World In General ) YOU ARE FUN !!!!! I'm Glad You Do This Work !!!!!! XXOO V We Are Lucky !!!!!!!!
Words to live by - roll with the hus. So many of us do. Go wonder. Always with ya.
You still got thumbs up!
Sarah you need to go on a real horse or mule ride in the desert. You should see if Casey's offroad towing or Anchor ranch would take you on a day ride.
What a fantastic place, lovely people, great animals, such fun! You lucky person! I wish I could join you! 😂 ❤
Learned the secret potion for a good Garden Aplapaca 💩
roll with the huss...😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Well, now. Plan B seems to have worked out pretty well. The only idea I object to is Sarah getting a miniature horse. Sarah would have that critter trying to learn to drive the 4-Runner. A friend tried that with his mini-steed...and the critter missed half the questions on the written test.
I don't know how anyone else feels, but I think Sarah's going to have to take her sister over there.
And... coming soon (maybe)...."The Fantastically Amazing and Great Wonderhussy and Wondersister Hot Air Balloon Adventure". (Possible guest appearance by Meg the Marvelwriter....negotiations pending)
you make the right kind of friends!
Great piece, might I suggest on your next trip to Pahrump you consider doing a piece on the late great Coast to Coast AM Radio Founder Art Bell who lived, died and is buried in Pahrump, he still has thousands of fans, he was a character! Love your investigative work!
Rolling with the Huss 👍 Checkn out a gravel pit👍 Considering bar b queuing a baby alpaca 👍
Hi.. This is one of your BEST video's.. thanks! Safe Travels.. 🙂
Always a good time with " The Huss", reporter in tow. You make copy out of dirt. You had a lot of fun with the writer. You worked every room and then made more room.
The quarry boys liked you.
I really like your phrase "worked every room and then made more room" -- fits Wonderhussy to a T! Enviable skillz.
I've definitely seen those flight stewardess outfits in pictures.
Flintstones Vibes at the Gravel Pit.
That was incredible 😎⭐️🤩
I can't wait to go kayaking in Badwater lake!!
This was a great vlog from start to finish!
That was a great adventure! Love the farm and the gravel pit. Got to talk to Meg a bit on Saturday, nice to see her on camara with you as she puts together her article about you.
Who would ever guess this young man had so many special memories to offer us all.
Love this show. What a delightful surprise
Sarah horsing around again. 🐴 👍🇫🇮🇺🇸
It got up to 80 degrees in Las Cruces today.
The consultant here and still traveling. The gravel pit reminded me, that after that Asian Vacation, I worked for Kaiser Sand and Gravel at the Santa Margarita rock quarry for two years, 68 to 70. I can explain all about crushing and classifying sand and crushed rock. The pit you were in is natural deposited. They just dig and run through a screen plant, making many different sizes from one and inch minus down to washed plaster sand. HENCE THE TWIN SAND SCREW that washes the dirt out of the final product. (Sand). So the consultant...carpenter, cabinet maker, framer, roofer, mobile home delivery and installer, deputy weight aster in Cal, has-been around construction A LOT! Now retired, traveling and consulting. BTW gave Sarah and crew an A Plus on her compound project. Sarah should have worn her cowgirl hat for the photo op on Silky Sullivan!
A friend of mine packages his horse manure and sells it at the farmers market in weekends. He makes a lot of
Too much fun! Maybe the Huss could marry an alpaca?
And some people say the desert is hot and dusty and boring…ha!
