@@raywilliams6675 what makes you say that? Mountain whitefish are native to the northwest. Why would they stock a different strain from the Midwest? Not to mention that IDFG lists them as mountain whitefish.
@@stingray4540there's two types of whitefish in LPO: mountain and lake. Mountain whitefish are native whereas lake whitefish were introduced to LPO in the 1890s to try and start a commercial fishery. It continued to be a commercial fishery until the late 30s
