DISCLAIMER:tianfall 2 is not free (you need the game to play with northstar mod) HOWEVER it goes down to 4 bucks every now and then on sale and its completely worth just for the campaign alone. Also the fanbase is so dedicated that there is always going to be servers to hop on and play online (on northstar)!
Imma be real, I honestly think ironsight is better than BO2. BO2 is awesome but ironsight has the advantage of hindsight to see what worked and what didn't.
Great vid man, a lot of these games are fantastic for being free, I love me some Ironsight and Splitgate. Taking elements from their inspirations and making them somewhat better.
Glad Hunt Showdown was mentioned I didn't get into it until about a month ago because I never heard of it and now it's my favorite game because I saw a jack frag's video of it. It seems to be a bit more popular now than it was 2 years ago on the steam charts but it could still use more players it deserves it
I wish Planetside2 had landed better and sustained. That is probably the best game I have ever played tbh. If you have not seen 500 people vs 500 people vs 500 people at night on Indar....you do not understand. Good god. I just watched the lightshow sometimes and put on music. I was lvl100 in that game. And damn...I maybe made people quit. Sorry. That game was a sci fi military experiment simulation in some ways.
On the note of Operation Harsh Doorstop: I think one thing that's holding it back, growth wise, is how little the store page and dev has actually explained what the game is. The only thing that they ever talk about the game is that it's free, and has mod support. It just kinda assumes you'll know exactly what the game is about by looking the snippets of gameplay footage (which doesn't show a lot), and given vague comparisons to other mil-sim games. It doesn't even mention what modes/mechanics the game has, or what side of the gameplay represents the core experience. It just doesn't sell itself well imo, and I think that will turn a lot of people away from trying it, especially with its reputation of being buggy and no anti-cheat. Even if it's free to try, a lot of people have limited storage space, limited download speed, and limited free time. Considering there's a lot of other free/cheap games that are worthwhile, it being free to play isn't as eye-catching/marketable as they seem to think it is. Drake has mentioned that Steam users have high standards, but I think those high standards are warranted when you treat your game as what the industry needs. And while it's free to play and has great mod support, they're also explicit that the game will only be updated "As long as the community continues to donate and support our development", which just sounds too unstable to get really invested in. Even paid games struggle to maintain a no DLC business model, I can't imagine how quickly a donation based business model will fail, given how small the playerbase is.
I hadn't seen much of the game besides some gameplay from Drake's videos, but when I tried it out, it was REALLY different from what I was expecting, I was expecting a tactical shooter, but not to the level of something like Arma, because that's what OHD felt like in comparison to my expectations, and I dropped the game immediately. You're definitely right in saying it doesn't sell itself well, because if it had done so, I'd know it wasn't a game for me before playing it, and thank god it's free, or I would've wasted my money.
Look if you name your video 10 underrated FREE FPS games it would be good if you don't put payed and non-fps games in list just for clarity and if you want then leave it at the end and put some disclaimer "PAID Games."
Some of the games featured in this "FPS" list aren't first person shooters. One of them isn't even a shooter. You don't know what you're talking about.
@@thechipmunkpunk Two of them. One is a third person shooter, and the other isn't a shooter. In a list of "FPS games." They could have attempted any amount of research to provide a quality video fitting their description and title. Odds are, they haven't even played many of these.
I’m back?
Lets goooooo
“I always come back”

Nice vid, I'm really looking forward to Dark and Darker getting a full release. Hope I can at least catch next playtest.
I hope they can iron out some polish. If they do I think it’s a very unique take on a genre that’s about to explode
It's over
@@TheT1111x1 been over for a minute
Battlefield: BadCompany2 is one of my favorite fps of all time. I wonder if safe dedicated servers are still up and running.
That game is excellent.
Technically still up but are getting shut down soon. Hopefully fan servers can come out

Hunt Showdown is not free. But it is good. For underrated multiplayer games, I recommend Hell Let Loose, Insurgency s, and Hunt Showdown.
Is harsh doorstep for consoles
