@@blackadam6677 Because I built up a tolerance to it over 10 years and my doctor was ok going up that high because of it. If someone that had no tolerance took 80MG it would probably throw them into cardiac arrest.
Me too ! I am on 20mg though... and i feel it is useless ... i was just diagnosed like 3 months ago and am 34 and my life is still a mess ... maybe because i wasted the first 2 month taking 5mg lol and 10mg which is for children 🤦♀️ my doctor was too cautious i guess
I’m 15 and am prescribed 60mg a day I understand how high that dose is and am going to quit tomorrow cold Turkey I didn’t realize how truly insane that dose is
It's insane and criminal how kids are exposed to this. They should not be given to anyone. Extremely addictive like Oxycontin. It changes your brain structure and makes you dependent to the drug...

@@mostexcellentted5444 Cold turkey is a good option. However, you should not have any adderal in reach if you! If you survive for a week or so, your dependency will go down fast!
desoxyn has an additional liability of being a metamphetamine. it is somewhat more dangerous then other stimulants (ritalin, adderrall), and i would not consider using it without monitoring ekg and blood pressure. other then producing more weight loss,i do not see any advantage to desoxyn over other stimulants. i would not recommend prolonged use. ask your physician for advice.
People are likely to go where they can get prescriptions for drugs they want to abuse. No one will follow up to the families who live with adderall abusers.
I started 5 mg 2 times a day 2 days ago. I am a 51 year old man. And I feel like it’s a Xanax or something !! Because I feel sleepy. How can you possibly get sleepy on a strong stimulant ?? Don’t make sense !! And I noticed I am really hungry !! Do you think that’s normal ?? Just asking. Thanking you in advance. Because of your post, you seem to understand this medicine.
As a kid i was prescribed Ritalin for what was thought to be ADHD, but i gained energy levels which is not suppose to happen. I'm thinking i have Dyslexia, but i responded very well with Ritalin in terms of learning, it increased my comprehension and motivation drastically. Would you say that Ritalin/Adderal is a effective way of "Treating/Dealing" with this disorder?
Adderall is like the least addictive drug in the fucking world. After being off it for a while I have to get into routine of taking it every morning because I often forget. I don’t get a high from it and virtually I have everything to lose, if I take too much I cant eat if I take too little it’s not effective. I’ve been taking this medication my whole life, kindergarten and beyond was a struggle for me because I could never remember to take my aderall. I was too hyper and I hated it it, i wanted to be normal and I felt that way every time I took adderall. It’s not addictive, it’s only addictive for people without the adhd condition
Hey Dr. Fruitman I appreciate this video. I'm a Vyvanse addict and my doc gives me 2 week early scripts often just because I ask for a dose change. He knows I"m an addict, former cocaine addict and I'm on suboxone from him would you consider that unethical that he just goes along with whatever I ask him to do with my Vyvanse dose and have had in like 8 months probably 5 pretty significantly early scripts? Also I think maybe you're downplaying the withdrawal effects a bit, unless you meant for clinical level patients. I'm only just into my mid 20's and fearing because of my sedentary lifestyle thus far, smoking, and crack abuse last winter followed by Vyvanse since Sept or so I may be compromising my heart health.
Yeah they I think want to 'befriend' the patient a bit too much other than just make money. Too bad you're not in Connecticut or I'd ask for the location;) I'm feeling ok considering I got my script on Monday and so far I'm 2 capsules short..Taking around 100 mg of vyvanse a day is kind of high but not horrible, something like 33 mg of dexamp. If I could get a better effect from the 60mg capsule it'd be better. Harm reduction is good :)

Asking a doctor if a prescription drugs are harmful is like asking a butcher if red meat is bad for you, the answer is equivocally a "no"..
He said yes in case you didn't watch the video. The substance itself is addictive, but for ADHD use (small dose) it doesn't cause addiction.
