@@ceographics A single image can be transparent multiple times (in any number of directions) in Photoshop. Is this possible in Corel Draw?

Yes, it's very much possible.
Once you apply transparency on one desired area, to apply to the second area of that same image, you must convert the image to a bitmap then apply the transparency. If not converted to a bitmap, it'll cancel the transparency you applied to the first area of that image.
