Its a lot of BS, if you have a ticket to leave they should not force you to buy a flight home its terrible. Write the Prime Minister Mia Mottley and complain. She is very nice. I think you met a jealous officer. They jealous you for travelling because they probably never left the island.
10:18 Love you energy and perspective on travel. Our skin color and our nationality will always offend someone unfortunately. One world and it’s for all of us to see and enjoy! Happy travels, I’m here for it too. Be blessed
My dear Miss Phillis. I am confused what happened to you at Barbados immigration department within the airport. Did they not see that you have been in other nearby Caribbean island nations with your passport stamped properly? OMG. So please explain. Also what else did you do in Barbados and when you do get back home to Kenya, Africa do make a very detailed video of Kenya's tourism. You have a beautiful positive energy and so well educated from the crib by your parents and well mannered. That never leaves you. It speaks wonders about you. All the best.
Thank you for the kind words. They demanded I had to have a return trip to Kenya before they let me in even though I had a forward ticket to another country. The rules are for a forward ticket or a return ticket, so it should have been okay, but the officer I met didn't think so.
New subscriber here! Sorry about your mishaps in Barbados, unfortunately you have to apologize for your skin color in some of those Caribbean island. Pretty sad! Your Jamaican sisters here. Nuff love and blessings always
Foolish talk. It ain't her colour probably because she is African. Sadly many Africans go to countries and disappear or try to disappear. The islands have to protect their interest. Sadly, Africans have an intitled attitude - not all but many causing issues for true honest African travellers.
Y’all making it about skin color it could be just a mishap with immigration. Haven’t other African RUclipsr been there and no problem. So please stop this nonsense about skin color

Hi dear, could you please tell me how to or how you got your refund for the return ticket? I'm interested to know coz I'm planning a trip to Barbados too but not with the intention of returning by using the return ticket
I am so sorry about your entry into Barbados. Looks like you had a good time. You have good positive vibes

Sounds like such a bad encounter but so glad there were kind people on the buses and you were able to turn it out around! Thanks for sharing!
It wasn't nice but it happens and in my experience there is more kindness than there is bad moments in the world ✨️
@@travel_with_phil so true! Love following your adventures ❤️
@@JennasMagicalAdventures Thank you 😊
Typical! Even some Caribbean citizens from other islands are subjected to this treatment... Sad!
It is sad to experience that for sure

Sorry to hear about your encounter. I will be there in a week hopefully it goes well for me. I'm on Botswana passport 🙏🏿

@@travel_with_phil hey it wasn't too bad. they asked a few questions and for me to show my onward flights and they let me in.
@walkonwalkon that's great. In my case, they refused my onward flight. Enjoy your time there

Yeah i guess it depends on the immigration officer or the mood they are in haha
Asante sana dada 🙏🏿

You do realize that most places look for a return ticket when you travel
Actually most places ask for a return or an onward ticket. As long as you have a valid ticket out of the country, which I had
On behalf of ordinary Bajans I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you by the Immigration
Thank you, it wasn't nice but I actually enjoyed my stay in Barbados
