Love this..brings back memories of my youth. I'm Navajo/Tewa from AZ.
At the art school in Santa Fe in 1962 we got field trips out to the Pueblos for dances. They were unforgettable and so beautiful. The smell of the wood fires from the houses comes back in wonderful memories.
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed the album and brings back memories for you. Thanks for listening and commenting.
The Indian school in Santa Fe was for getting brain washed from your culture back in the day.
Im Hopi/Tewa and when I was little my dad would always sing to us in Tewa, this song included. He has been gone for over 30 years now and I listen to this, imagining his voice is included. I miss him, and I miss home. I play this on my hikes and it brings back so many good memories. Ghu-na-ah

Sometimes i feel like the elders in these songs didn't really want to sing for the recorder because of the way it was done, not to mention being used for entertainment. But at the same time im grateful to have them because they are so old. Thanks for listening and commenting
