Theory looks great ! Must fight Mike Tyson in a real fight .
What you see there is only the form..every monk will respect his enemy. In a fight all of this looks little bit different because the other person is a human and will fight too. Will block and so. Normal thing.
And shaolin all time train to locked the painsystem. They are smaller then thyson but they can stand punshes same way like thyson...or for sure more then him. A boxer only fight with hands....yes they are fast but a good shaolin monk will be faster. Believe it or not. They ttain 20-30-40 years of her life. 20 years only in a temple. When they are 3-4 years old they come in.... 12 hours a day or more they train body and soul. Thats not the same way of a boxer. He only train hard punshes and so. For sure every martials arts is great when you have the right master....but the way to learn is very diffcult from kung fu to others.

@@trash65 it depends of course. in majority of martial arts, (as most martial arts are fake,) there are sequences of irrelevant moves with no actual purpose that are rehearsed over and over.
in Shaolin, at least, the techniques are well devised, and the forms have solid purpose. many techniques may be criticized by many for not being practical, while in the hands of actually trained fighters, these are an overwhelming advantage.
for example, watch how this fighter takes advantage of Shaolin scissor kick and Shaolin luohan drinks wine from the large cauldron (throwing the oppoent behind the bridge to break his neck):
