  • Left ventricular hypertrophy is an immensely important complication of hypertension that generally underrecognize by the public. The thickening on the heart that takes place as a result of uncontrolled hypertension can have real-world consequences for most, including a significant increase in the appearance of arrhythmias and heart failure. Our video covers how LVH happens, and why it is important to understand and you have never seen a funnier and more creative way of doing so. Written by cardiologist Dr. Jose Taveras M.D. F.A.C.C and produced by Doctablet®

Okay well, analogy aside: "Toning" a muscle is not real. Furthermore, bodybuilders do not always lift heavy. They leverage lower weights to make them harder. This video is more describing what powerlifters may do, though I'm no expert in that sport.

    02:00 "Thick and inflexible heart"
A healthy heart will expand. But with LVH, the heart cannot expand as easily and cannot fill up with as much blood as a normal heart. Does Left Ventricular Hypertrophy commonly cause the left ventricle to become *SMALLER* in size? 🤔
