Thanks, men. The best thing about Flex 1.0 is that we were working with grids and this enable us to rearrange columns in Tablet Mode....now Tablet Mode is like Desktop Mode and we cannot rearrange columns.
Great video! I've found myself not using flex because I don't really know how to use it and have been finding it not super intuitive. But I certainly have hit limits within the standard design mode. This video might give me the push I needed to get into flex.
This is really great, any idea when this will be ready for production? If I have to build a site right now I should probably start with the standard non-flex templates and then add flex 2 to some sections when it is ready for production. But if I want everything to be flex 2 I have to rebuild the whole site?
Hey it's now released! resources.duda.co/flex-is-now-a-lot-simpler It appears that currently only new sites will support Flex 2. They are currently working on allowing Flex 2 on sites that already have Flex 1, but that's not out yet.
Wow, thanks. Yes, I see only 1.0 BETA on my test site. Maybe I will wait a bit. If it is out of beta you would probably recommend to start the site with a Flex 2 template?
@@iAnguel I think you'll only see it on either a brand new site or a site that doesn't have flex (or maybe never had flex?). As for starting with a flex template, idk... maybe if most of your sections will be flex then yeah. I don't know if it matters tbh.
@@CreateToday Yep, just tested. Deleting the flex 1.0 on the old site did not help, creating a new site with a flex template opened the new flex 2 editor. When I add a new flex section it still shows beta in the section templates menu. Will have a closer look tomorrow.
