Yoooooooo thank you so much, I almost have a tear writing this. Roadtrip to banff and jasper is a 3 year old dream, and about to realize it in 3 weeks. Its honestly so beautiful it fills me of emotions. Thank you so much for all the tips, makes planning much easier and fun
We are travelling to Jasper and Banff this Saturday. Thank you so much Ally, your videos are so helpful and amazing… I love the way you narrate everything.❤
Thank you very much, Aly. We're headed to Canada in two weeks' time and are doing the reverse trip for Jasper to Banff. I've prepared a "to do list" based upon your helpful guide.
Agree. They are both outstanding, but if you want to feel more in a remote place there is more choice in Jasper. Also, the biggest landmarks are less crowded
I concur. Although Banff is spectacular it is over touristed. Jasper was spectacular and a great spot to kick off my journey on the AlCan highway to Alaska. The two provincial parks on the AlCan are simply stunning.
When I was a kid in the 70’s our family would go camping at Jasper. One of my cousins was a park warden at the time so we would get to camp at his remote cabin.
I am so excited about all of this. Planning a trip soon but wanted to know how many days/nights you were there to do all of this? Is 4 nights enough? How many trails did you do per day??
I enjoyed the video. I have a question and would like to ask. Drone filming is prohibited in national parks, but sometimes drone filming appears in videos. Did you obtain permission? I'm curious how this was filmed.
Not a dumb question! Yes there are bears, but they don't want to see you more than you don't want to see them. Bring bear spray, and on the trails make noise. You could stick to the more popular trails and lakes that have lots of people for less likely of an encounter.
Constructive criticism: you sound like you are reading. But great videography, narration totally fit the video. I am thinking about revisiting Jasper & doing the stuff I regret not doing the last time I was there :) Ya Know? I wandered around Banff, Lake Lousie, Lake Moraine & all around there & wandered all the way up to Jasper and then later learned how much I missed :(
Will be skipping Jasper this summer because of the fires. Sad :( will just watch your video for now. Prayers for those affected.
Can't get enough of Jasper !!! 😊😊😊 Especially skiing at Marmot ❄❄❄
Helpful stunning video for my this summer travel / journey to Canada. Really beautiful, Added to my list. Thanks a lot

Enjoy!! The rockies are more beautiful in person, you will have an amazing time

How did it go? I'm thinking of staying close to Jasper and doing a day trip to Banff.
@@Aritul Hi, We had a great time but I think that a day trip to Banff is too much driving. You might overnight near Lake Louise if that makes sense.
@@cerievans4099 Thanks for this piece of advice. I'll also look up places next to Lake Louise to see how much they are.
We stayed in the Mountaineer Lodge in Lake Louise. We were happy with the -lace and the breakfast.
@@cerievans4099 Thank you so much, Cheri. I will look it up.
Awesome! Planning Jasper vacation with family during kids summer vacation and came across this wonderful video.
Finally! People who appreciate that Jasper is not Banff's poor cousin.
Keep up the good work..excellent video
Maligne Lake in particular is definitely an epic spot! Canoeing or kayaking the entire length is a special challenge.
Thanks Aly really informative, we have 4 nights in Jasper in early September.
Thank you so much for sharing this video. It's helpful in preparing for my trip.
You do an excellent job! I hope you are making bank!
I’m going tomorrow and was so happy to find this. Thank you!
Thank you❤ All your tips were very precise, and I am enjoying each of them, including my pet🐶❤🗻
I just love Jasper! It’s stunning in every season.
I’m coming later this month and found this video incredibly helpful. Great job!
This is super helpful. All about the destination and not about other stupid crap like some other travel blogging couples.. thanks!!
Thanks. After your video we can plan our trip to Jasper.
Thanks for sharing
Breathtakingly beautiful. Wow
I prefer Jasper over Banff, it's so laid back and less commercialized
Agree.

Agreed, but I have encountered more rude people in Jasper than in Banff

I did both last year and I 100% agree

Excellent video! Lots of info for planning purposes 😊
Glad it was helpful!

Hey just wondering regarding using your drone as drones are not permitted in the national park haha?
That's really cool, but sorry it doesn't really compare to the glaciers we visited in Alaska a few years ago.
But im going anyway!
Please give more details about glacier on the trail.
How to get there.
Amazing video! Gonna change my itinerary up a bit because of this video. If you don't mind me asking, what camera do you use for your videography?
Sony ZV-1 and Google pixel 6

Anything shot within a national park is stock footage.
Where’s the place of “Take a shot for your country”, is it at a restaurant in Jasper downtown? 😃 want to visit there too.
Jasper Pizza Place, upstairs on the patio!
thank you so much for your reply. ❤😃👍🏼👍🏼
Awesome video! I have a dumb question maybe haha what about bears? I mean, is it safe for the hikes and visit the lakes? 🤔
Not a dumb question! Yes there are bears, but they don't want to see you more than you don't want to see them. Bring bear spray, and on the trails make noise. You could stick to the more popular trails and lakes that have lots of people for less likely of an encounter.
@@alysmalls Thank you very much for this info! Jasper is in my bucket list, hope to visit soon! :)
How many days did you take to cover these places ??

I started in Jasper and went south. Such a beautiful area. I would’ve done more hiking if I hadn’t
Had a small dog.
How many days do we need to visit Baff and Jasper?
at minimum 5 days to hit both, ideally a week
Welcome to red mountains in jasper?
Another great video Aly. I really enjoy your content.
