I just wanted to comment again and let you know I ended up making 15 small purses to hold the jewelry I made for the ladies at church. I wasn't able to make the boxes to put all their gifts in due to just not having the money to buy more bags. I'm not gonna lie, I was very nervous about making these, having to figure out my own sizes. Since my misdiagnosis, I get confused and mixed up easily, but I watched this video a few times, and I even messed up a couple of bags, but I didn't let it get to me and kept on till I got it. Due to health issues, I had to wait till today to give them their Mother's Day gifts, and they just absolutely loved their little purses and couldn't get over that they used to be gift bags. They all said they will cherish them. Thank you so much for helping me to put big smiles on the ladies at my church. It made it worth going through all the trials and fails to get the purses made. And I believe they liked that their bracelets were in the purses instead of a plain ol jewelry box! I hope you have a blessed day 🙏 💛

Sherry, you've done it again. I Love this! ❤ I dont sell projects, but, I have done a few of your paper purses as the bag I gave a, secret sister, special gift in. But.. I put a strip of ribbon inside of the handles, so the handles won't break. (It works) I did this, so that the paper purse could be given, again and again, as a gift bag, until the bag finally falls apart, or gets dirty, wet, etc. This bag, is perfect for that. Much larger. I'm definitely going to make 6 of these for the ladies Ive chosen to be a secret Santa for this year. Nobody knows those paper purses come from me. So these will be perfect. Thank you. ❤❤❤❤

Some family members and friends have favourite designers who sell gift bags with their patterns (and originally curtains, linen, kitchenware, etc.) but don't manufacture crafting papers. So, following your tutorial, I can now alter those bags into special paper purses for these special receivers. Thanks for sharing!💝

When I saw the title of this video, I was LOL. It brought back some fond memories of my daughter who is now 51 years old, use to make paper purses as a young child.. She sold them for 25 cents up to 1 dollar. She used small gift bags. or white lunch bags decorated the front and back. she used cardstock for the inside... None of them look like what you have but she put her heart into everyone she made.. The senior ladies who she sold them to were like her extended grandma's.. I am going to send her this video and maybe she will get inspired to make more paper purses.. Thank you for sharing your ideas with us all.

I think it would be adorable to make small ones and put like cookies maybe a notebook or sticker book. Set them on the table next to place mats for a child's tea party or princess day . How fun
