Yep. I'm one of em too lol. This takes me back man. I miss skating so bad. My health requires me to no longer step on a board & its very sad because that's who I am. Well,a lot of what made me who I am. The entire southern cali skater punk scene was my life since I was 9!!!! Had an older stepbrother who slayed so I got all his old boards & clothes & shit...I got really fucking good & was sponsored by 3 skate shops in san clemente & dana point . Gawd I miss those days....,🥰

What I got from this video is that tony not only revolutionized skateboarding, but he is also the chillest nicest dude out there. I remember watching tony clips as a kid, and he got me into skating. He will be remembered literally forever.

Seeing what Steve-O has done with his life since getting clean and sobs is really inspiring. Seeing him get it together and doing things to make a difference is really motivating me to do the same. Being able to live a positive life and manifest positivity around me. That’s what I want for my life! Keep moving forward brother!!

Edit. This attention made my day :D some more information for everyone: I do not live with my mom, I was just visiting her for a weekend. We are not Mexicans, but from north Europe and we watched the Jackass movie together when it was released, because she thought it might be too much for my 11 year old eyes and she stopped the VHS right after Steve-O launched his first firework from his ass :D Greetings for everyone!

I was a poor lad growing up, didn’t have much and this one time my Mom and I were walking through a thrift store, no joke a book from across the store with a bright orange cover caught my attention. I walked up to it, grabbed it and to my surprise it was Tony’s book Occupation: Skateboarder. And to my absolute shock, Tony’s autograph was inside it. I got the book for 50 cents and spent my child hood reading and re-reading it. I lost it escaping my abusive step father. I’d give anything to have that book back. I took a lot of inspiration from that book.

Tony Hawk founded a skatepark in a little town I lived in, Needle’s California. Very grateful for it because it was one of the very few things to do in that town and a productive outlet
1:53 Thug 2 was the best one of the greatest games of my childhood, I honestly hope we get a remake or remaster of Thug 1 + 2 that's would be hella awesome.

@Arthur Easton He was a heavy drinker, and drug abuser, and yes got worse after Ryan Dunn died. Clearly addicted to it, he would just say he'd be fine, and he would know when to quit, but number one rule of a drug addiction, once they say tomorrow they will stop, or they say then can stop, but really that's just the beginning of the addiction.

Tony is from my home town Carlsbad Ca. After he became huge, I was skating this ditch off of El Camino Real with my buddies. I was 17 I believe back in 86’ 87’? We had already seen “The search for animal chin” a dozen times haha All of a sudden. Hawk and his buddies came rolling up on us and took over! It was insane. They made this crappy ditch look like the gnarliest half pipe you’d ever seen! None of us dare drop in after they took over haha.
