Today's vlog is coming to you from Skopje in North Macedonia - we really wanted to show a typical day in the life for us as a couple, full-time travellers and digital nomads... you could also say that we're travel RUclipsrs as well, but we're not really fans of that term, content creators sounds a bit more our style :)

This is pretty good insight into what a day in the life is like for us as a digital nomad, of course it depends where we are in the world and Skopje / North Macedonia is a pretty unique place to be. The other elements that would feature on a typical day, or rotated, would be the gym (when theres a good one and we have time), eating out and maybe just some random walking and exploring. Exploring just isn't something you can do in a typical day, everyday, we find saving that sense of adventure for a day where we really want to get out and travel and feel inspired to explore further.

You guys are the only travel couple that I watch, usually I find couple channels to be a bit over the top and exaggerated but you guys have always kept it real and been unpretentious and always kept it that way. Thank you so much for doing this. It is not all glitz and glamour. Like what you showed, it is a lot of being in front of a laptop trying to not feel trapped in the apartment. A lot of daily life is rather similar to most people - work, grocery shopping, an occasional night out. Just happens to be in a different place every from time to time. Still nice to see and learn about new places and meet new people.
So so so true! It's a nice way to feel 'normal' though - weird how that daily grind is something you kind of crave after a few weeks of actual travel.
@@DanegerAndStacey Yes! After a few weeks of buses, taxis, planes and hotels, the simple normality of waking up in your own place, having a reliable place to work from, and being able to cook your own food is more enticing than anything.

Really enjoyed this guys! I think you are right to show that there's a lot of hard work and downright everyday stuff behind what you do. VPN is a great idea and a must if you want to visit and connect in countries like China. Totally share your dread of supermarkets. We have everything delivered and have done for years now. Stacey having a "portable" professional skill is the way to go these days. It means you always have that platform and safety net that allows you the freedom to do what you love (and are so good at).
Wish more supermarkets around the world would deliver, Stace would be over the moon if we could just use some global app that delivered food to our door worldwide 🤣

The screen thing happened to my asus zenbook as well. I was in the middle of watching midnight in Paris and then boom, it all went streaky.

For finding good cafés with WiFi I use the Workfrom app, it saved my life sooo many times while traveling. The Dn community tends to love good coffee and cafés ahahah.

One last thought. Most of the travel vloggers that I follow could not do a vlog like the one that you just uploaded. They turn on their on vlog personalities and go dancing down the street. I doubt that this is their off vlog personalities. In contrast you don't have special personalities that you assume for your vlogs. We get what you are in real life because that is what you portray. I for one love it!

Stacey, I agree on the supermarket! So many people are in their own little world, blocking the entire aisle, completely oblivious to other shoppers! And I'm the kind of shopper that typically buys all the same things, so I know exactly what I want, and I just need to grab it and go! There was one time this guy was standing looking at all the options for chicken, for a good 3 minutes. Seriously?! It's chicken, it's not that complicated!

Hi guys. I'm enjoying watching your travels and BTS. On the broken laptop front, it'd be advisable to buy a cheap plastic one as a backup up to both your good laptops. Perhaps keep it stored in checked luggage in place where it's not going to slide around (velcro?). That way, if one laptop goes down and it can't be fixed for at least a week or so, you've got a backup. I would be stuck without mine and I do know sbdy who has a cheap plastic laptop, so I have a backup.
We most definitely considered that - I was in the mall looking at options. Fortunately for us, when the repair happened they let us keep the laptop while they ordered parts - Stace could plug into the tv to work. Wouldn't be so safe it was a hard drive or something go though! I like your style having a back up.
Oh Stacy, I get isle rage too bad. One lady cornered me her cart up against the meat section once. First I dont eat meat, second I do not like to be confined. it was not pretty. She moved so fast. lol

Very interesting. We have traveled quite a bit and I always find going to the supermarket to be a challenge! Not so much aisle rage as confused guy who doesn't know the language and struggles to convert the prices.... ahhh... that's the fun of it... sometimes....

Hey Sally - we do have the app on our phones as well, HMA VPN is for a as many devices as you like but 5 connections at a time, it's perfect. Funny you should say that about the chicken. I was in Skopje two months last year and the food all tasted off to me. Not sure how true it is, but I was told supermarkets sometimes themto their fridges of at night

Haha exactly - pizza and beer are generally for a travel day, good spotting. Stace designs for clients worldwide, tends to be the bigger clients in NZ that she has the relationship with for the larger campaigns for billboards though.

That's a proxy, it does not encrypt your traffic. It just changes your public IP.

As Nick mentioned, that is more of a proxy, it's a start but a big leap up to the safety and value of a VPN. Glad you're thinking about it either way though!
maybe you should learn to create your own flat whites...which of course aren't well known outside of NZ. It was nice to understand how you can afford (yes I know things are cheap-as in certain places) to travel and stay on the road...these little machines have certainly changed how people can have careers anywhere they wish.
Our last apartment had an espresso maker and I tried forever to get a good flat white, I failed for various reasons haha. We use an aeropress and love the clean cup it makes as a light travel alternative. We mention a bit deeper into the video what we, or more so Stacey does :)

@@ademdemi9552 no, I am a Macedonian born and raised in Tetovo. I love that city more than anything. Shar Planina is the most beautiful mountain in whole region. But unfortunately the city is very polluted, traffic is terrible, litter everywhere, more than in Skopje. It hurts me honestly. And it used to be such a cute city.
