From its stunning nature, to its delicious food and the very kind people who live there, it is a perfect choice for anyone who wants to see Europe off the beaten track. I spent almost a month and a half exploring this beautiful country, so I decided to compile a TOP 10 LIST of things I would recommend seeing and doing while there. I hope you guys find it helpful and would love to know your thoughts in the comments!

Loved your video and I could not agree with your video more! I have a wonderful Filevi Ohrid pearl necklace and earrings. If you ever visit again, I recommend touring Strumitsa and Gevgelija. There are plenty of places to hike, collect herbs for mountain tea, and enjoy all the wineries in this region.

Macedonia isn't somewhere that I have ever thought about visiting but now it is near the top of my list.Plus I have the added benefit of my next door neighbor is from Macedonia and I was telling her about your videos and she can help me with choosing places to visit. I am at a point in my life that I can travel to anywhere in the world that I wish-notwithstanding Covid. North Macedonia is so beautiful! I was there some years ago, before the pandemic started & i really loved it there. I am planning to go back & this time, with my beloved family. I'm quite sure they'll love it there too. I love the traditional Macedonian music, national costumes, dance, food, scenery, history, etc. The rich culture is so wonderful & so unique to Macedonia. I encourage others to visit North Macedonia, but Macedonia in general if you're ever able to. Thanks for capturing such beauty & for sharing this video.

I've been trying to take a trip to Europe for 10 years and will finally have the opportunity once Covid restrictions make it feasible. It looks like North Macedonia would be possible even now. Croatia also appears to be reasonably visitable now too (for Americans I mean). I'm looking for an interesting experience in a country without too many covid restrictions (I don't want a bunch of curfews, mask requirements, and so on). Between North Macedonia and Croatia. anyone have a preference or suggestions-- or even another option? I'm just looking to get a break from the grind of everyday life and see a European country for the first time- to experience a new culture, new foods, sights, and so on. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Lived and worked in North Macedonia for 3 years, travelled all over the country and have been everywhere. It is truly an astonishing beautiful country in all seasons with, if you get to know them, welcoming friendly people, really good food and fine wines. I made friends for life. My second homeland. ❤❤❤

This is for those who are planing to go to my birth country, Macedonia, and i still live here! Anyways, MK has the best kind of places, for example: Matka, Kuklica, Heraklea, Kokino and much more!my favorite is Kuklica, its a village in the City of Kratovo, where my grandma lives, the stone dolls are actually obsidian. Before where the dolls made, it had a lake there. From the explosion of the volcano, it had made the dolls!

I hear you have to register your stay with a police station when your in Macedonia, is it a easy process and do you have to do this for every different town you visit?
Yes, the first place within 24hrs is most important. They rarely check I hear but best to stay in a hotel or airbnb and ask ahead of time if they can register you.
You register at the police station, it's a 5-10 min process, free of charge. When you get there, you ask for a 'visitor card' which you fill in. You then present it to the person who gave it to the person who gave it to you. They tear off half of it and return it to you. Keep it in your passport whilst you're in that country. (For the life of me I can't remember whether I had to present it at the police station the day before I left or whether I was asked to present it at the airport.)

Beyond this point you will not get another response since you didn’t even noticed I was generous enough to ask Alina just to add North. Which is ludicrous already since Makedonia is one and it’s north region is at the borders of Bulgaria and Skopje.
