The police officers were kind and reasonable, but the bus driver and supervisor did not even acknowledge it when the officer told him the man's difficulties. Well first off, don’t compare DV to Damage of property. Those are two entirely different things, DV is much more serious. Also it’s not personal property for the bus driver which is why he had to call his supervisor. During DV they made it so the city can charge them because 9 times out of 10 the partner isn’t going to prosecute.
Paralyzed by cowardice - unless you prosecute these low-lifes, they are going to continue with their utterly unacceptable behavior - cowardly bus driver needs to grow some cojones - pathetic……………
Because it was damage to the bus and not him or his personal property the bus driver cannot make that call without his higher ups being involved. If you ever worked security even, you would know that in order to trespass, security needs a manager or security supervisor to sign off on it. Alot of companies do not let lower staff make calls like that by themselves. Maybe educate yourself or have a basic understanding of how companies work before you go around name calling. Doesn’t put you in a good light.
If you are not gonna prosecute DO NOT CALL THE LAW AND WASTE THEIR TIME
They should fine the bus driver for calling them out there for no reason.
And if this repeats, the police will respond ... eventually. It is called alarm fatigue.
