Just because it is usually a federally funded airport things don't work that way you might want to refer back to trespassing laws before making such a wide statement. Female cop messed up agreeing to his demand to get a supervisor. That's the oldest trick in the book, and it's a blatant stalling tactic. Very stupid of her. Give these morons an inch and they'll take a mile. What's up with these freaks who think they have rights to stay on private property they've been ordered to leave? They have no damn rights whatsoever!
That is correct. Private airports don’t house the homeless. Trespassing notices and warnings are definitely issued and sometimes arrest if the person is disorderly.
When did requesting a supervisor become a "right" of American citizens? Law enforcement needs to stop pandering to every criminal they have interactions with.

It's the actual law that controls their behavior...
this went on way too long an airport representative came, said they wanted him removed at that moment he was told by the cops to leave he didnt at that moment they should have dragged him kicking and crying out
Screeching for a supervisor let's you delay the cops for up to half an hour in some cases. Sentient beings can figure out if they actually need one, for the NPCs it's a reflex.
This plays out like Abbott and Costello. I allowed a subject to control the arrest one time. Just once. IT NEVER HAPPENED AGAIN. It appears that one officer attempted to take charge, but the others overruled him. There is no Florida statute or constitutional right to have a "supervisor" present during an arrest. How many man hours and officers were required to affect the arrest on subject's terms. For heavens sake, save us a bunch of money and free up valuable resources. Cuff him; stuff him and take him to jail.
Well said, female officer was foolish to entertain his 'get me a supervisor' BS for a nanosecond. It's a blatant stalling tactic. Police had authority to tell him to leave, and to trespass and arrest him, no supervisor necessary. She had egg on her face when another cop then took care of business - exactly as she should have done 5 minutes before! Cops don't have time for that crap.
@whereisyourhumanity7557 Wrong. The end may be preordained, but he was in charge throughout. He led those cops around by the nose. And how many cops are involved??? Who's paying for all this - you are thru your taxes. Modern policing is whipped.
I’m tired of all this “let me see your supervisor” crap because it can go on and on and on. It doesn’t take a supervisor to enforce the law. All LEO’s are duly appointed to enforce the laws. Just arrest the perps and they can address a supervisor at the jail!
Not true, just made the mistake of staying in the airport too long. Anything can happen and it did. People think they are home free until the wolf comes to the door with all there ordinances.
I’ve been homeless before, and I know the sheer fear of not having a place you can sit down, and just how scary it is to sit down inside a business when you know you’re not providing business to them and are on 100% borrowed time doing what you’re doing. When they ask you to leave, you leave. They already did you a favor by allowing you their AC in the first place. This guy was a complete asshole.
This man is way more educated on the law than the cops are. This airport is 100% public, NOT private as the cops said. This changes the rules of trespassing completely.
Perhaps if those cops would have verified some information, they would have realized the man is 100% correct. This airport is 100% public. From Wikipedia: "The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) is the governmental entity that operates Orlando International Airport". Therefore it's a 100% public airport.
The police are alowing themselves to be mocked, he’s been trespassed leave or arrest .it’s the sovereign citizen rubbish. This needs to be dealt with with toughness.
That's exactly what I was thinking, that he controlled that from the beginning. But it wasn't hard to do, as none of the cops knew what each other was doing 😒 I think they are all rookies 😄
If a "business" tells you to leave, you have to leave. And if you don't leave, you are trespassing, that is a crime. Then you have to i.d. Where did the Civil Rights violations come in?
A supervisor is not a constitutional right you don’t have a right to speak to one. You don’t have the right to stay in a privately owned business so you’re done.
I was thinking the same thing last I checked no one wants to watch a movie about a bum steal resources and contributing nothing at least Tom Hanks helped around the airport.
"You don't have a supervisor card?" Gtfo dude he doesn't have to answer anything just like you don't have to say anything I would have totally told that guy he is being arrested for being an ass
Hmmm...... Ever heard of Daniel Larson? He was a guy who got kicked out of almost everywhere he went. Every place he lived, he was thrown out for being a wackadoo. He tried sleeping in a Planet Fitness bathroom and was pressed to leave after a lengthy argument that he lost. That was in California. He also tried it in a casino hotel Vegas. That turned out much differently. He also liked to hit himself. After years of being an annoyance to the people of Colorado, they started arresting him regularly. He was also warned by federal agents to stop making terroristic threats to government offices. This all came to a head after multiple probation violations. This guy was tame compared to Daniel, who faces years in federal prison.
Weak policing, right from the start. Arguments about trespassing need to be shut down _immediately_ with "I don't care. Start walking, or I will take you to jail right now", spoken with _absolute_ certainty. They let that SovCit cretin believe that he was running the show for far too long.
This airport is govt owned/operated by govt entity Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. Sleeping there long term should not be permitted. This is not a shelter for the homeless.
Any private business in the country has the right to refuse service, including airports once they have asked you to leave you are under trespass if you do not leave you can be placed under arrest for not following trespass warning. Simple. So very simple.

Asking for a supervisor is a passive/aggressive way of denying the authority of the person addressing them.

This is why you gotta go to law school before becoming a cop!🗣
This plays out like Abbott and Costello. I allowed a subject to control the arrest one time. Just once. IT NEVER HAPPENED AGAIN. It appears that one officer attempted to take charge, but the others overruled him. There is no Florida statute or constitutional right to have a "supervisor" present during an arrest. How many man hours and officers were required to affect the arrest on subject's terms. For heavens sake, save us a bunch of money and free up valuable resources. Cuff him; stuff him and take him to jail.
Oh, baloney. He was never in control. They're just keeping him busy until they can figure out which way to walk him out.
Well said, female officer was foolish to entertain his 'get me a supervisor' BS for a nanosecond. It's a blatant stalling tactic. Police had authority to tell him to leave, and to trespass and arrest him, no supervisor necessary.
