Was really high on him in the draft process. Would’ve been ok with taking him at 32 if WRs were off the board. So I was ecstatic when he fell as far as he did. Starting WR and LT in the first two rounds. Wild.
He did fine for the series he was in. Nothing extraordinary, but he looked like he belonged. You can tell he is still working on footwork and hand placement, but the dude is big and can move. The first couple of snaps were against Josh Allen (good competition), and the second couple were against DJ Coleman, a rotational DE who uses his size to overwhelm undersized tackles and who is better against the run. The true test will be when Patrick has a 7 step drop and they are going for a shot, how does he fair against players like Josh Allen then?
