Turks had a penchant for impaling the heads of conquered peoples, so Vlad took it a step further and impaled their captured fellow soldiers live on stakes and left them in the path of the invaders so they would know what would become of them. Vlad's kingdom was much better off for his actions. Just a fun bit of history on the man

I think Alucard sees Integra as his equal/superior partly because he sees himself in her. She's defending her country at all costs and completely dedicated to her mission, like he was. Gonna be honest here, prefer Crispin Freeman's voice. He got the right amount of crazy in the voice. Jappanese VA is far to formal. Also it helps that I saw the dub first, and that I prefer dubs over subs, but will watch subs if they are more easily available. Also that head pat was adorable.
I like Japanese, I thought in english Dub you couldn't see Alucards wisdom and dub didn't had such deep voice as original has. Whenever Alucard speaks - it's like a two sides of the coin, he says something he doesn't really believe and delivers in that way too. A Hellsing live action film is in the works. If Keanu Reeves plays Alucard with him looking like John Wick (and eventually Neo), it would work narratively well for a number of reasons; 1. Alucard's true "human form" is what you see before you in the form of "Vlad Tepes III" in this world specifically. Who is basically Alucard with longer hair and a mustache. 2. Finally, Keanu, along with his characters like *guns... lots of guns!* So... might as well give the role of Alucard to Keanu :P 3. Funny enough, they call Keanu an "immortal vampire" because he "hardly" ages (he only looks "younger" these days because his beard conceals his wrinkles). 4. Alucard's height in Hellsing (based on the main design we're used to) is 6 feet, 3 inches. Keanu is 6 feet, 1 inch. . Alucard's true form since Abraham Van Hellsing experimented on him via science and "sorcery" (which took place after Van Hellsing and his men defeated Alucard), was being what Luke Valentine called Alucard in the English dub as; "A monster who powers radiate with a darkness that casts a shadow on darkness itself." Again, that was a dub mistranslation. In the original JP dialogue (anime and manga), Luke calls Alucard; "A pitch black monster within pitch blackess." At least according to the translation of the subbed anime. Therefore, if they want to make Alucard to look like John Wick, they can't go wrong with that. Very clever if you think about it :P

Alucard was originally a father he had chikdren so this wasnt a surprise shit i knew deep down he was really trying to protect Seras but she had to grow much more and now shes equivalent to him in strength and power so he had somewhat fatherly love towards her and that of a lover that he cares for, after all her ass belongs to him dont think for second he wont have her either oh he will peeps of his own accord that is but of course I know Pip will be a stubborn asshole and i know he'll show up then steal Seras away and have her ass in heaven besides hes a part of her he aint entirely excluded other than that this was the best part of all the ages and yrs in between. T.T
I think Alucard sees Integra as his equal/superior partly because he sees himself in her. She's defending her country at all costs and completely dedicated to her mission, like he was. But on top of that she won't fall to corruption and she'd never become a vampire out of her own pride in humanity. She's basically someone Alucard wishes he was / had stayed as, his idea of an ideal person.
Where was the scene when alucard was provoking Walter that now he has integra and seras for him alone as he said "my master and my servant"
It was a epic moment

Gonna be honest here, prefer Crispin Freeman's voice. He got the right amount of crazy in the voice. Jappanese VA is far to formal. Also it helps that I saw the dub first, and that I prefer dubs over subs, but will watch subs if they are more easily available. Also that head pat was adorable.

I like Japanese, I thought in english Dub you couldn't see Alucards wisdom and dub didn't had such deep voice as original has. Whenever Alucard speaks - it's like a two sides of the coin, he says something he doesn't really believe and delivers in that way too. It's like everything is a game for him and he just enjoys it while it lasts, knowing nothing lives forever, all tough he still has a long journey ahead of him. I couldn't hear this in Dub

If Keanu Reeves plays Alucard with him looking like John Wick (and eventually Neo), it would work narratively well for a number of reasons;
1. Alucard's true "human form" is what you see before you in the form of "Vlad Tepes III" in this world specifically. Who is basically Alucard with longer hair and a mustache.
2. Finally, Keanu, along with his characters like *guns... lots of guns!* So... might as well give the role of Alucard to Keanu :P
3. Funny enough, they call Keanu an "immortal vampire" because he "hardly" ages (he only looks "younger" these days because his beard conceals his wrinkles).
4. Alucard's height in Hellsing (based on the main design we're used to) is 6 feet, 3 inches. Keanu is 6 feet, 1 inch.

Alucard's true form since Abraham Van Hellsing experimented on him via science and "sorcery" (which took place after Van Hellsing and his men defeated Alucard), was being what Luke Valentine called Alucard in the English dub as; "A monster who powers radiate with a darkness that casts a shadow on darkness itself."
Again, that was a dub mistranslation. In the original JP dialogue (anime and manga), Luke calls Alucard; "A pitch black monster within pitch blackess."
At least according to the translation of the subbed anime.
Therefore, if they want to make Alucard to look like John Wick, they can't go wrong with that.

I always wondered, how does integra know 100% Alucard would never turn on her no matter what? No matter what he does or looks like, she talks to him exactly the same way and never a single doubt he would ever do anything to her.
I think because she's been with him for years and understands his psychology. Alucard is a man who respects loyalty and hates betrayals, and besides his defeat from Van Hellsing just broke him, he was never the same since then.
