    About the museum
"Fuglsang Kunstmuseum on Lolland/Denmark has roots in one of the country's oldest art museums. We have a very fine collection of art from 1780 until today with the most important artists and currents in Danish art history. We arrange changing special exhibitions and hangings of the collections throughout the year. The museum also houses a shop and café as well as a viewing room with large panoramic windows overlooking all the nature at Fuglsang, which is 8 km away. from Nykøbing Falster.
The award-winning museum building from 2008 is beautifully situated in the easternmost Lolland in a charming manor environment close to Guldborgsund and the protected natural area Skejten. In the neighboring building KUMUS (renovated 2016) the children's service is held, and there is also a multi-purpose hall for concerts, lectures etc.
I Fuglsang Kunstmuseums collections include works by, among others CW Eckersberg and PC Skovgaard, Kristian Zahrtmann, the Skagen painters, Vilhelm Hammershøi and LA Ring, the Fynbos, the modernists Vilhelm Lundstrøm, Jais Nielsen and Olaf Rude, Cobra, concrete art by e.g. Richard Mortensen and Robert Jacobsen and contemporary art by i.a. Ursula Reuter Christiansen and Lea Porsager. In 2023, Fuglsang's work will be expanded with works of art integrated into the landscape around the museum." fuglsangkunstmuseum.dk/en/
