I created a team but when I try to register in The Pirate Crew, it won't let me. The option is greyed out.

Sorry I haven't played since and I uninstall the game, was the Pirate crew part of the tutorial? I cant remember right now, but I think you cant create your own team for the tutorial. you cant only use what they assign to you. Sorry if this doesn't help much

@WePlayGames1 thanks. Eventually sorted it. I selected to create a custom team (thinking this is how I could fully customise players, names, colours etc.), so I could mirror my "real model" team.
Turns out custom team allows for fully custom skills and unlimited treasury etc. Hence, custom teams aren't allowed for the campaign.
