About 10-12 years ago I built a HET F-4 with twin 70's, Scale retracts with electric doors and all the scale details...very pretty if not rather squarish bird... flew once and it scared the hell out of me.. easy 150mph.. needed up elevator to fly level (Wing incidence issues) and never flew again.. only a display...must have landed at 60mph lol... I can't wait to get my hands on this bird... Love the F-4 dearly... I know where my tax refund is going hahaha.. Awesome field and awesome flying Tony!! Thanks for sharing!!!
*That was a fantastic demonstration of an incredible fighter jet and you make us proud as its pilot!!* *Well done sir!!* *Someday you too might fly your country's own fighter jet!* *Do well in school and it could become a reality...*
Tony, Wow, that's smooth and fast! Landing speed is right up there, too, in spite of it being a perfect nose-high touchdown! Nice place to fly...something we New Englanders can only dream about as we attempt to fly free-flights in postage-stamp sized fields surrounded by miles of forests! Nice video, keep 'em coming...Mike
Have been waiting for someone to do a production run on the F-4, I grew up with this wonderful bird in my backyard (Idaho Air National Guard) now I am going to have to apply for a Homeland Security Loan to purchase it...LOL..In all seriousness this is the best and most versatile fighter aircraft ever built IMHO, had 2 old friends that flew the F-4 over Viet Nam, both were shot up pretty bad on numerous occasions and the bird managed to bring them home..Bravo Freewing you've done it again.
Wow Tony, YLFlyer here. That is one beautiful plane. I’m not flying planes these days due to no time to prep and travel to clubs but boy does this one make me want to break out my wallet. Thanks for sharing!
I just ordered this based on this video and one other. Simply amazing! I fly multirotors/quads/drones, etc. so, this is going to be a little different for me. I’m going to be looking at simulators to see if I can gather as much info and flight experience as possible before putting her in the air... This will certainly not be my only purchase of the large ARF - RTF style aircraft. I’ve seen a few others that also caught my eye! Great great video and flight! I’m just as excited for you, as you are flying it... Haha! All the best to you sir!
Thank you, Mike! Appreciate your positive/supportive feedback. I'm excited for you as you branch out into the amazing world of Freewing jets. Good luck, and please keep me posted on your adventures. Best, Tony
A well skilled pilot can fly this jet off a 300 ft runway. This flight was only the second, so landing speed was higher to prevent potential damage until I took it to the Arizona Electric Festival. I'm landing it much slower now, with full flap.
Would it not just feel amazing to fly one of these with an FPV cam inside a cockpit with an array of detailed, backlit instruments and a gunsight? I know it would be an extremely tricky build and costly to boot, but it would be a heck of a trip every time...
Epic flying mate! So was there anything you changed from the F4's first flight? Really love the F4 Phantom II, have an FMS single 70mm EDF and a HET F4 with twin 70's that I went very overboard with... scared the hell outa me waaaaay fast!! this thing looks like a puppy out of the box... any recommendations ? Awesome flying field too just quietly!!!
Hey Robert, this is pretty nice looking isn't it?I have my eye on one of these babies too! Hope this is as nice as their A-4,if it is it is a winner for sure!!!
Somethimes I wish that I live in the USA. You have planes there for almoust half the price that I have to pay for them here in my country. But hey, as long as we have fun in this great, great hobby. Stay well my friend and have fun with your new baby. It looks just great. Great.... Cheers, robert
G'day Tony you think you could ferry fly one to OZ for me buddy oh and express lol. Mate you make it look so easy thanks for posting and giving us a real prospective of this beautiful looking model.
Beautiful plane but too fast for my newb RC skills... still looking for a slower flying easier maneuvering EDF jet...will start with an A-10 Warthog I think..
Great video Tony. Thanks for sharing. In Australia these Phantoms cost $789 Aus dollars.

Thanks! My landing speeds are always higher on the first few test flights. It lands much slower.

Awesome brother ! I love my F-4, but no flights yet. Need more stick time before the EDFs hit the sky. Nice flying and a new Sub!!!👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻

Nice to see a decent size F-4 ARF!

Beautiful looking jet. It looks like it takes a ton of room and skill to fly that thing. I guess you need a large smooth place to land too.

Great flying Tony and excellent job to the camera person! I know it is not easy to keep up with those fast moving jets :D
I sometimes think I should expand my channel to RCs? Great video!

Thank you Robert! I hope our European friends get it soon. Have fun!

Thank you Robert! My daughter and I loved your Mig video. We laughed so much!
So, is this the Area 51 for Motion RC/ Freewing plane testing? haha.. nice video!
G'day Tony you think you could ferry fly one to OZ for me buddy oh and express lol. Mate you make it look so easy thanks for posting and giving us a real prospective of this beautiful looking model.
Hi Dexter! Many thanks for your kinds words, mate! Believe me, I would love to bring one to OZ, if I could. I hope to come visit someday. Cheers, Tony

Awesome flying and video! Did you setup by the book and any expo used?
Nice shooting tex. Just twisted in and greased it. Sweeeeet...!!!
Thank you!
Hi Tony,
You made that flying look effortless. Two thumbs up on the landing. What are all those white poles off in the distance, wind generators?
Great flite tony
Thank you!
Man o man does that sound gooood !
Great! Nice landing~
Oh yeah, killer Tony!
Thanks Bro!
Sure does look great! Thanks for sharing this video, now need to pre-order one asap. How did you get one so soon?
Nice landing also Tony!
Thanks Victor!
Where a bouts was this? I see it close to Mojave off the 14. I live in Cal. City & fly near the buttes. DId ya get permission from the space port?
Very nice 👍
Thank you!
I wish I could have one of that
How many minuets are you getting on that 5000?
Wow freewing has made a hot one here amazing it is f4 phantoms are hard to get but this is so nice bring to apollo lol so we can see it
Will do, thanks Jeff!
Tony Accurso where in Mojave desert is this place i flew at the open field in rosamond before close to Edwards but this looks nice too
This is just a road we found in the Mojave. We fly all over the desert.
Tony Accurso awesome and i would think its electric not a big deal last time i flew up thr was 2 years ago alot of freedom
I been to el mirage is also fun
Since it is a model of a “hard wing” F4, does it exhibit the adverse yaw tendencies?
No adverse yaw.
Beautiful plane but too fast for my newb RC skills... still looking for a slower flying easier maneuvering EDF jet...will start with an A-10 Warthog I think..
Out of Mojave or Tehachapi?
I think I see where my Tax refund is going
So flight time is about 3:30 ?
With a 6s 5000 and easy on the throttle...3:30 is safe!
Only has one motor?
Single 3748-1750kv motor with a 90mm 9 blade fan.
Sure takes a ton of runway to get it slowed down...and 4 minute flight time for a 6s battery Pathetic..
