Not just a random Mercedes either, AMG GTR is supercar level, it's over £100k
i Devon it’s not classified as a supercar hence not having the performance of a supercar so it’s a sport car
@@CharlieLaBeach it is a supercar, more focused for the track, the amg gts is a sports car.
RailsOfTheWorld just because of its track focused doesn’t make it a supercar What differentiates supercars from sports cars is their exceptional top speed, performance, and acceleration McLaren 570S is classified as a supercar hence its performance
One advice among many here is to get a protective grille over radiators at the front because rocks can puncture them. Its a small mod that can save a lot of trouble and money. Hope Tom sees this.
Edit: Hopefully you get in touch with Tim (Shmee). He has some awesome tips and tricks for this car.
From a GTS owner to a GTR owner, never ever front park, lower the boot then press it down to shut it don’t let it drop the glass is sensitive, to get the pops and bangs while driving downshift on the paddles, and ppf at least the front as it scoops up gravel like hell. Congrats it’s one beast of a car!

I work 40 hours a week and do 20 hours overtime just to clear an overdraft so I can buy milk and bread! Can't afford petrol scrounging lifts, And here is a guy 16 years younger than me driving this beast! Fair play dude. I'm jealous but smile at your success! well done mate! Its all relative!

Tom, please put PPF (Paint Protection Film) on the AMG GT-R as soon as you can. I'm not joking, it will save your car from paint damage when you drive it anywhere

With a car like this I’d seriously think about protecting it. Without dissing the car cleaners you like, if you looked closely they’re probs damaging it. I’d seriously invest in getting a professional detailer to get the car ceramic coated and then coming round to do maintenance washes. They’ll keep it pristine inside and out, and increase the durability by protecting everything on the car.

Of course they are damaging it. The cleaners are minimum wage contractors, usually foreign. They don’t know any better themselves really. Car looks clean, job done!

Please put PPF(paint protection film) on the car as soon as possible it will save your paint so much. I don’t know if you are aware of Mr JWW but he owns NVN London which does PPF professionally
yeah, he should ask Shmee150 about that, he uses Topaz for all his PPF work
Kenny Mann yeah i forgot topaz is based in england definitely a great place to go. PPF is a must though.

Please for the love of everything holy Tom take your GTR to Topaz Bristol or anywhere near you to get Paint Protection Film put on at least the front of the vehicle so you protect it from rock chips and protect your investment! If you need help finding a place that can install ppf google Xpel! Congratulations on your new beast I’m a long time viewer and I just wanna look out for you! I am a paint protection film installer here in Wisconsin of the United States so if you need any help or have any questions please reply! Tom if you see this, I would recommend looking into getting a ghost 2 immobiliser - you can get official people to sell / install them, just as additional security on the car... it allows you to program a button combination using the steering wheel / centre console buttons.. once the code is set on the device.. with out the code being entered the engine wont start etc... I have one installed on my C63 amg and it works a charm!

When I saw this vid saying “Mercedes AMG GTR” I thought: I have this car in a game. (Forza Horizon 4) When I drove the car in the game, it was one of the smoothest drive car that I’ve ever drove in the game, and if the game is very close to real life. That must mean you are really enjoying the car! Love the car!
Just remember not to wash it with normal shampoo ect , matte paint is washed differently

Imagine giving a brand new AMG high revs on a cold start, poor engine :'(
Most newer vehicles have cold-limiters built in. The ECU detects the engine temp and will lower the red-line to a safe limit until the car is warmed up. So even if someone hops in and slams the gas pedal while the engine is still cold, it'll only rev up to a safe RPM dictated by the ECU.

Lovely car Tom. I would advice taking lessons from an instructor before taking the merc on a track day. The car will kick your arse if you make any mistakes.
I do regular track days and often see super cars turning up thinking they will be the best. Then they get lapped by 15 year old clio 172s!

Also Tom with these types of cars there are usually front lift air suspension/ magnetic suspension systems that lift the front end of the car for speed bumps and such. Also make sure to take them at a 45 degree angle if possible.
Custom Syndicate original wrap and a set of Vossen wheels and you will be sorted, my dad just got his done and my god does it look sick, Urban automotive will wrap it for you and sort the wheels out
