She’s been putting that work for our community, I’m part of her book club as well.
This was a good discussion! Can't wait for cole and noname to get together and make moves cohesively, that's the goal ✊🏽🔥🔥🔥
Thats all thats needed people being negative towards the situation 4 get that get on the same accord
I think you guys nailed it. I will say, I think Cole has good points, but while he showed her respect calling her tone into question, especially as a black woman right now, felt like it canceled out that respect a little. Tone is important. He's saying her tone makes it hard for some people to digest. Women in general and Black women especially have consistently been minimized or silenced by calling out their tone. Too loud, too harsh, too preachy so not worth listening to. If the timing was different, or if he had not specifically said her tone bothered him, I don't think there would have been anywhere near as much backlash. I can see how his tone came off a little mansplain-y. He could have made the same point without addressing a black woman specifically and just at people who teach and talk over people's heads. Because his point is definitely valid, too.
If he's answering a black woman, he has to adress a black woman, it's the whole point.
Well said! Just how he talked about her tone...timing is also very important in communication you're right! You gave a great breakdown here. And yes women are CONSTANTLY minimized when speaking out so I definitely understand you all having to "over"protect your voices. I'm not mad at either party. Hope to see em come together asap.
I agree overall but you definitely can't blame someone only because he told you your tone wasn't fitting. The fact that there's a social issue about tone doesn't mean tone shouldn't at all be adress to anyone woman or man. Tone is always critically important in conversations and if someone feels disrespected by your tone and tells you why he felt disrespected that automatically cancel the idea of him applying that social issue to you because he specifically explained why. Context is important, when someone put context, explains himself it helps the conversation, and that's what Cole did with pure respect. You also can respond to him saying he didn't understand you and that's not the tone you used and you were going for, also with the utmost respect. Tone discussions shouldn't be banned and shouldn't cancel everything because of social issues.
christophe kanaa thank you!
@@christophekanaa1104 I don't disagree with anything you said. I just feel like that was why people were upset. Everything can almost always be handled differently or better. Neither of these artists should be vilified, both are doing good things.
I’m a woman and I didn’t get that from the song either. I think Cole responded very well by promoting the track and continuing to respect/show love.
I made a reaction video to both Snow on Tha Bluff and Song 33; people were going IN in my comments on here and IG lol. Nice to see how other people think.
I’m gonna check you out
ScriptWork aw thanks! Appreciate you
ruclips.net/video/QiGWHggDxK8/видео.html
you can start at minute 7:30
ML N is there something you’d like to say about this video?
I was just trying to express not dissing him at all it’s hard for me to even talk sometimes get with me yo peeps we gotta get to work now
You guys let that ride ride. It wasn't a song to pause as you went you really needed to take the whole thing in like that. But you're the first I've seen just let it ride straight through
Somethings you gotta just let ride
This was amazing, Cole was respectful I don’t understand why people got upset
Same I hate Twitter sometimes
That’s because j Cole ALWAYS DOING THIS TO GET ATTENTION RANDOMLY CALL OUT KANYE WEST X WALE PUSHA T ALL THAT Shit TAKES A PHONE CALL BUT YOU NOTICE he NEVER ADDRESS JAY-Z X KENDRICK LIKE THIS I Wonder why lol
Nah, bros was gaslighting
The only thing about this whole shit I don't get is how is Cole supposedly not speaking up now but was practically the 1st artist that went out and marched with the ppl in the streets. A tweet can't be more important than protesting with the ppl. Idk..
Unfortunately a tweet will be seen by many more people, people who wont be watching the protests in particular.
Respect for all y’all
Handlez in the building 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Finally. I've been waiting for this since the song came out. Thank you. You Guys are the best.
Still shakes me to see him there. Crazy talent
Love J Cole's song! Powerful! First time hearing No Name's track! Great reaction as always!!
I loved listening to your conversation an hearing your perspective ..wonderful reaction from you all ..Handle McGee you are both talented an wise thanku love you all god bless hug life planet breakdown x
Thank you Wendy
I wish she didn't apologize or at least not in public and not as swiftly as she did after making the song. You shouldn't have to say sorry for speaking your mind about issues like these, and sadly people see it as "weak" for her saying sorry about a "distrack". But you call her an angry black woman for making it in the first place. It's like you can't win. I would have let it sit with people longer though, and if people were actually listening to the song then they would have gotten past all the J.Cole references and comprehended what she was talking about. But either way, now that the "beef"- which it barely was- is squashed hopefully they will make a track together. They both made good arguments and nothing they said was disrespectful to each other either so..
I’m glad they moved on from this. We support both.
It’s definitely bigger then these songs
Handlez is a lyrical genious 2💯
Cole hasn’t been public about what he does but we know Cole put in the work. People hear him but don’t listen to the words.
On the real I just wanna see a Handlez and Oswin Benjamin collab, that shit would be epic! 🔥🔥
A new teammate for the breakdown crew I'm just saying good job guys great discussion peace love respect
She finished him low-key
As a woman I’m not offended and don’t see it as a diss or tone policing. And the truth of the matter is a lot of the general public feel like how Cole is addressing in this song about a certain sector of woke people who tend to talk down to people who are not as educated on the subject.
I was so confused when people got offended by cole's song
Cole complimented her an his point was that he an others wanna understand everything that she’s ridin for, after she started it an then responded jus dissing him. U can’t go after an artist for makin art abt his truth. He been at the protests an helpin the community for years an she went after him
I want to say something but i dont know the situation between J Cole and Noname,,so...hye.how are you doing?
I honestly feel like Cole was asking for her help and wisdom, but Noname took it wrong and was a little hypocritical. However, I hope they can make this into something productive together.
Man fxx all THAT WE ALL KNOW HE Won’t say that to KENNY X CHANCE OR LUPE but you ADDRESSING A Female lol I don’t see CHANCE RANDOMLY addressing ARI LENOX 🤣 but Ask Wale
Faxxx
I personally think she was pointing out the fact that he made a song and responded to a tweet that wasn't directed at him. They both did wrong because now people talk about both of them rather than focus on the issue and using whatever platform they have online or offline as they have built their career on being conscious rappers. So yh I get her response because she shot him but didn't stop talking about the wider issue
Issue with society... when people see the Fist raised high, they see anger, animosity, and hate. It is very hard to see that symbol as a open hand reaching for help when you feel oppressed because you getting a taste of equality.
Hey Scriptwork,
Still waiting on your reactions to RA the Rugged man's new album this year "All my Heroes are Dead"
We know you like old school Hiphop and that's the best album in a while. He's really killing it. He's got many legendary MCs on there. Please do a reactoon! No channel is giving a shine to him, i really want the MC who cares about HipHop get praise from people and your channel is the best for it.
Hope my comment doesn't get lost in here
Man God bring us the day we don't have to tell our daughters that Lem ❤
I feel like y’all should add a female in this convo
I don’t know about y’all but her response is ironic because her approach literally exemplified what he was saying in snow on the bluff. Relisten to his song then hers. His open letter was preemptive of everything she said in song 33.
Everything she said apply to her
She never said his name in the tweets. He took it personally which he said in his song. He called out someone for speaking about him without actually knowing..he was speaking STRICTLY from emotion
🐐
If 2 wrongs dont make a right then what does 3 wrongs make?
I think noname initially came off like those super woke people most of us know, you know the ones who are condescending to everyone who isnt as woke as they are, all that read a book stuff, instead of coming at me like that, hey brother, you should read this book. Since we are on the same side.
She shouldve hig him up on the side.
He shouldnt never have made that song, he should contacted her immediately, and in my opinion i dont think he ssid a single disrepectful thing to her in the song, he even asked for guidance. But you shouldnt have made the song.
Bug then she contradicts her own self by making a song about him making a song, anc she went into beef mode, testing his whole manhood. And he definitely cant respond to that m, last thing the revolution needs is infighting from 2 respected figures. But i definitely think her reply was out of pocket, trying put it out there that hes not down for the cause and hasnt been. Thats wrong.
So 3 wrongs
Edgar Allen Poe vs Stephen King
I believe you guys played tracks backwards
That’s what I wanna do ASAP please I feel those was my words yo can ya please get back to me on this one I have been waiting for this moment all my life I gotta get this on the ball guys I never heard anything better than his words and I’m sure it’s gonna be amazing 😉 among the whole world 🌍 peeps I love you 💕was that me replying to him or am I just lost my marbles I gotta know now😙😇piece love 💕 and chicken 🐔 grease everybody I am around these days in Washington DC calls me snow bunny 🐰
She murdered Cole 😂😂😂
He made a respectful response and she came out here w a diss. Tf??
@HeartIess it was a dies he was respectful and asked for guidance admitted she has better upbringing and understanding of the situation but she straight went in
You guys broke this down fairly but it would've helped to have a woman on the video
she really can't rap but her words were cool 🤷♂️
