I am familiar with original novel, and man, this canto did hit really hard. Ending kinda made me feel that, even tho Heathcliff still feels regret and misery about the loss of Cathy, he is still not lost. Nowhere near as lost as Heath from the novel. And all the metaphors with dogs and the final fight just really seemed poetic. Plus, Erlking saying "I didn't broke your heart: you have broke it, and by breaking it, you broke mine!" (I know I have spelled it wrong, I forgor how it was in game, and I read the novel in russian, since I am russian) just instantly hit me deep. Heath didn't achieved his goal, but still decided to move on. My only problem was the fact that Sunshower Heath became useless in the end of final fight, and I have been using him for entire canto. But this still doesn't make this part of the story the best for me.
He did achieve his goal, though. He realized that he didn't need to be somebody that Cathy deserved, he just needed to be courageous and confess his love to her. And he did confess, right before Cathy disappeared. Cathy also replied back that she loved him. Now he has a new mission: not revenge, not courage, but rescue. He's getting Cathy back for their happy ending.
I think that Erlking Heath saw a sort of relief to his duty (tho we'll have to see his ID to know for sure), because he finally saw that possibility where he and Cathy are happy, in a way, beyond the grave, and through the bond of Hareton and Cathy Jr
Danteh is now the one who brings all of them back to their path, not only from death, but also bringing them back and preventing them from eating themselves to death
And it's before Heathcliff sings "It's alright" at the end, so it's as if they either asked him "Are you alright?" or told him "You're going to be alright." Either way: MY HEART 😭😭😭
Just finished the canto, blew both 4 and 5 in terms of quality and fucking story. Despite the amount of boss rushes it was worth it, IT JUST HIT SO WELL AND IT SO PAID OFF THEY PUT SO MUCH, SO SO MUCH YET HAD IT ALL MAKE SENSE. THE AMOUNT OF REFERENCES TOO. The only thing missing was Kate Bush's singing when Ghost AU cathy came out of the fucking coffin! If this same trend continues with the future cantos, where I'm sure it will. Oh my goodness. Project Moon, I Kneel.

They nailed his Pass On perfectly, Ive had been expecting Heathcliff's theme to be melancholic but chaotic like him, melancholic rock is **chef's kiss** PM doesn't miss 🔥🔥🔥
The story of Canto 6 was phenomenal. Everything about it made it feel even better than Canto 5, and Canto 5's story was great. I was in a VC with some friends when I finished the canto and one of them went and asked if I was okay because I was sobbing, which my microphone was picking up.
You know, I asked for at least one Heathmael interaction this canto, and PM did deliver. Ishmael sits at the entrance of the bus, seemingly staring into nothing. My headcanon is that this is just her awkward way of consoling Heathcliff by providing some companionship if he wants to talk things out (since looking at the entire picture every Sinner seems to be giving him much needed space). She looks at him from the corner of her eyes, making sure he's at least not going under the same things she did on her canto. It's a pretty cute thought I cherish.
Makes sense in a way too, Ishmael lost Queequeg and so she understands of the emotions Heathcliff is just pondering and contemplating with at that time.
It's kinda sad tho if you think about it, since even if Ishmael could tell Heathcliff is feeling murky, because of what he and Dante did at the end she could NEVER understand.

This canto was depressing af. But I love it for it. The boss fights were insane and the music was amazing. But the thing that saddens me the most is that we will never get that Catherine Ishmael ID 😢

The emotion rollercoaster i get from clearing this canto while being underleveled is unimaginable One turn I'm cursing at Ishy for failing clash at 45 sanity and the other turn i jumped after Don managed to land miracle -25 sanity clash win 😭😭😭
maybe he was right… maybe we aren’t the cause of her death maybe we are one in the same person chasing the same goals but by different ways in the end we will be but a memory of the past and we will look upon the future see the path we carved in our stead and instead of blaming ourselves we forgive not just ourselves but each other.

Meursault is the type of guy to collect hot wheels, and I’m so for it
