i miss ESPN Poker go is the worst thing that happened to this game, that THUMBNAIL spoil is just a Big f u i didnt even watched that main évent like a lot of people
agree on thumbnail but Norman Chad has got to go. he's unlikable. doesn't know the game at all somehow still and can't imagine a more annoying voice in poker
Agreed. Poker will never be the same
so truee
@@reidblundell8703 he's a legend... fish legend
I agree. Why would you show the winner in the picture for the video. Talk about bad advertising
Love the pay wall and the fact that they display the winner on the snip. It’s like they want televised poker to die.
And on top of that, the constant begging for likes and subscribtions during the free 1hr livestream was so cringe.
Probably because television is dying.
Think of television as nothing more than an instrument or a medium. The programming or the content , how people choose to consume is what is the question
@@joshhoodrat451 point being they could provide it on other streaming services. They isn’t have to have their own mediocre service.
They only want pros and regs to watch the content. Not interest in expanding outside of that market.
I miss the first decade of the 2000s Poker. Such great characters and smack talking. All these guys are like robots now
Like watching zombies.
Maybe poker is getting overplayed and being like a robot is the best way to hide your tells. It’s a loophole that every serious poker pro has found and will exploit if it gives them an edge.
Lol, they're all on the autistic spectrum
Poker players now:- Robotic monotonous tediously boring drones with not a single ounce of personality.
Not to mention playing Q2 and having it win. What kind of garbage poker is this
Poker Go will be known as the incompetent leech that sucked any of the remaining life the WSOP had to offer. The ESPN coverage was a joy to watch and we all took it for granted.
Can't disagree
I've said it all along that streaming free on RUclips would reach a larger audience than TV or the app. Nearly everyone has access to RUclips. Even poor people who can't afford the $15 a month that they mention 17 times in a free 1 hour preview that shows 3 hands.
This will reach more people though.
If it was on espn this final table wouldn’t be shown till 3 months later
nothing is free
That last call was atrocious! He just sacrificed himself for no reason
Poker go killed the WSOP main event
Facts
How did they kill it? Sorry, casual fan here.
@@xmlariosNostalgia is a strong thing. Lots of old school heads pining for the machismo, western scored, all-american beer drinking days with poor players televising their hands.
@@xmlarios because if you wanna watch it live you gotta pay
Great comment from a random that doesn’t have the balls to even play the main event haha loser
Jorstad is a stoic. Dude has his emotions in check
Right player won this tournament. Very skilled
Reminds me of his Finnish neighbor. Patrik Antonius, what a stoneface.😐
Stoicism has helped me a lot, Espen definitely seems like a sensei of the art
@@cxc2632 yh losers saying like that.
You mean aderall
I'm glad pokergo made it pay to watch, otherwise I wouldve stick around watching these people tank forever...instead went on with my day and now i can watch the highlights and fast-forward its a win win :)
Second degree people
Would have been nice to watch it live so you weren’t spoiled from who the winner is on the thumbnail.
@@pookeysayshi unless you know the guys personally (in which case you're probably there in person) why does it matter? Spider alert: the long time pro probably beats the nervous amateur heads-up.
@@brandonjones5096 yeah don't be like those people who actively decide to be poor(????)
@@brandonjones5096 you might be the stupidest person I have ever heard. Or you are a Trumper. Which is really the same thing
100% agree! PokerGo should make money but I think if they sold the Main Event for $5 or $10 they would make a lot and allow many more people to see this and allow the sport more attention. Free public TV (or at least cable / streaming) would still get the most exposure for Poker. Great ME and congrats to Jorstad!
I can't believe he blew that many chips on Jack 4 with how close they were he could have picked such a better spot that one was mind-boggling
Biggest heads up punt ive ever seen
Between about 3 and 4 minutes of the video he puts in ~100M chips with J4 against Jorstad also.
i was staring at the hand wondering if there was some deep poker strat I was missing. Dont think so!
This looked like straight donk poker to me. Or maybe its the exhaustion of playing for so long and just wanting to find a way to end it. But there are just far better ways to play heads up poker than what we all just watched. The only thing I was impressed by was jorstads poker face/stance. Kept it consistent every hand. Attenborough was showing tells left and right. Then lost on an easily foldable all in.
@@natefitz77 If that’s the case then maybe we have a ”favourite hand” situation here, though hard to believe at these stakes...
Amazing that Attenborough was the shortest stack in the final 9-10 and came back to 2nd. Amazing run.
And if he doesn’t spew off that first hand heads up, he very likely wins it all.
He sucked
Yeah , lucky cat 🐈
@@usernamesrlamo yeah that first hand heads up was just awful. Hard to recover from that. Arguably cost him $4 million
The Main Event never disappoints. Congratulations, Espen Jorstad!
Wonder who wins, the suspense is killing me
Lol...
What a poker grind this was congrats to the winner here . Big ups to all who do played n grind this journey. All must right n da river is the key . Great game here
Ah I was cheering on Attenborough after that call when he had 4s earlier on in the tournament. Didn't see too much of the winner in the highlight reels but was gifted the victory here. Gg to both. I also agree with most of the comments here, this is the biggest major in poker it shouldn't be behind a paywall, imagine if moneymakers victory all those years ago was a pay to view scenario poker wouldn't be 10% as popular as it is now this type of coverage has the complete opposite effect, there's no one gonna pay for coverage unless they're into poker already so how is it gonna convert new players to the beautiful game we all love
Pay to watch everyone sit there and take 12 mins each time it's their turn to act. It's insanity. There is no need for all that time every single hand. Some hands, yes.
@@dalekerr5091 who said anything about ESPN I'm not from the US. My point is still valid even if it was originally broadcast on cable in your country. ,ESPN covers a host of different sports, people paid the subscription for maybe NFL or basketball or whatever, they then stumbled upon some average Joe called Chris Moneymaker playing for millions of dollars in a game they maybe didn't fully understand but it peaked their interest and started following, then when this "average everyday guy" goes onto win,the game grows in popularity and the poker boom is born. Now imagine if this was exclusively a pay walled poker channel instead. The interest in it would be from poker enthusiasts only, no or very few new players and no boom.
@@docholliday3666 that's really interesting I never knew that about the old NFL rights although there's something similar with soccer rights in the UK that still stands today that they can't broadcast a 3pm game on a Saturday for fear that fans will stop going, utterly ridiculous. Fair play to Mr Hess who knew the benefits of tv broadcasting and a nice little workaround. I'm not sure what the current tv broadcasting rights are in the future of the wsop but hoping it goes back to a more accessible form. Also hoping for time bank chips or a shot clock or something too as the tanking is ridiculous.
We took ESPN for granted
It's impossible to describe how much better the poker Go commentary is, when it isn't from a couple of youth camp leaders, constantly telling to to 'hit that like button folks'......👍
Those guys are awesome. I assume you’re a boomer?
Norman Chad and Lon should retire tbh. Not because of age, Gabe Kaplan is great and much older and to me is the best commentator ever! Lon and Norm never had much knowledge, but they seem tired, stressed these last years. They should replace them with Donnie and Renko. Nick and Ali are awesome options too, even though Ali sometimes is hard to watch how much he deviates from the game
Lon and Norm are better scripted and are being misused. The YT commentators both have adhd and can’t focus for more than a minute. Remko did alright, Donnie brings nothing. The final table should have the best duo calling hand by hand. That duo is Ali + Nick
I definately wouldnt trust a youth camp leader who talked about pizza as much as they do
@@airhead3333 Calling someone a boomer is so cliched that you've managed to make a joke out of yourself
That must be the worst call at a final table I’ve even seen absolute madness
How about "I play the board" in 1998...
An epic main event and an epic final table. Uhlen is an absolute machine, thoroughly deserved!
Can't forget the Epic Bracelet hahaha completely agree with you though overall
If you bluff almost every other hand you play, you start thinking everyone is bluffing you.
Even when he already got the bracelet he stil remains emotionless lol legend and deserved win
Poker Go is the rake of broadcasted poker content.
I love the way Essen plays which was so perfect imo
Impatience led to Attenborough's loss. To call all-in with 2 pairs the highest being 4's is insane. That near immediate all-in on that river Q should've been a red flag.
Yeah, seems like he lost his mind for a sec
Attenborough: Tanking 18mins 🤔
Jorstad: 😎💤💤💤
😳😱😂😂😂
Every goddamm year you put the winner in the thumbnail. You do it with nearly all videos, spoil the clips before people have watched one second. Do you guys really enjoy spoiling the excitement to watch these that much?
Absolutely deserved Espen!
Gratulerer dette var gøy å se 😊
Well done Jorstad and all the final tablists, you're living out a dream here and I hope you all cherish the moment and spend the money wisely (most of it).
While I am grateful for the free main event streams, it's such a shame Poker Go prevent people from watching the whole thing live and free, can they not find a model which means they monetise the main event while at the same time making it free/cheap to view? Personally I'd pay a small one off fee just to watch the main event, $5 for example.
espn was amazing at covering this event. A shame it went to that
Well done sir 👏🏼 👏🏼 what a journey and what a win.
WOW.... AttenB with the crappiest J4 hand ever played in poker history and then Jorstad comes back with the crappiest J7 ever played in the history of poker. And then AttenB comes back and proves he can play J4 even worse then the last time and lose the tourney with it. WOW!! What a F'up.
Yeah not a very satisfying poker match to watch
pokergo killing what was left of poker
Great play to take down the WOSP Main Event Mr. Jorstad...Congrats.
humble straight forward dude. i don't mind him winning. congrats.
y'all gonna convince me to subscribe to pokergo so I can watch the final table, then post the content for free on youtube with the spoiler on the thumbnail
Jorstad lookin like a Norwegian Morpheus. Great work that was very entertaining.
Go poker has set poker back 20 years. ESPN ruled the world series. Go poker killed it
his reaction when he won reminds me of james bond in casino royal. what a classy guy. well deserved.
_"OH! and the valet ticket? 👉"_
Awesomeness. Congrats!
Congratulations first Norwegian wins WSOP!!!!! Very Nice!!
Attenborough totally melted down in the last few hands. 😕
Dude had way too many edibles which kicked in around that time
You would think he would know himself what a great player he is until he gets to meltdown time and to compose his fits, that's the only place he does badly, but I guess he'll see his playing clearly now
Then again, after the world watches this noone's ever gonna want to play Jorstad again! lol, (and everyone will want to play Attenborough t see if they can induce a temporary hysteria moment) so maybe Attenborough is the winner after all.... Well played if so, hA!
Bravo pour sa performance. Très belle VICTOIRE.

Remember when we waited like 6 months for the final table to be played? It's $15 and you got like 100 hours of main event coverage. IDK about you, but I don't pay for cable or even have ESPN so cheaper than a netflix sunscription to watch all that poker is not a bad deal.

Jorstad is a very marketable champion for the game, a cool customer indeed.
It was so great when Tuckman was doing commentary and they would show all those events FT almost every day on stream
Well deserved champ, composed, willing to make moves. Better than some previous ME FT players
Sick first heads up hand! So many hand he could have that missed 🤔
AMAZING!
never heard of any of these players. I miss the days of matusow and hellmuth days 😢 espn where are u? 😢
Imagine spoiling the whole thing in the thumbnail
Wow bluffing and losing most of his stack paid off later. Amazing congratulations it was well deserved
PokerGO needs to go. Go back to the ESPN episodes and have the final table in November with the November 9. 12 hours of broadcasting a day is stupid and the main event has been worse every year since it went to PokerGO. The episodes highlighted the best hands from all around the tournament instead of constant stale featured tables where something interesting happens once an hour.
Imagine paying to watch a robot stare straight forward for minutes at a time.
Imagine tony g wins this main event haha
Cmon Aussie 2nd 6mill gotta be happy with that.......GG, great event..
That bracelet is sick. They're all usually pretty nice, but that 1 really stands out
They had to pay Espen $10M to show some human emotions.
Attenborough just has a great passion for J4... wonder what's the story behind it lol
How did he make it this far calling all in with a 4
Lo que LIGO en todo el torneo este muchacho laaaaaaaa...
Took him 18 minutes to discard a pair of fours the first time and it just took him under a minute to lose the bracelet with a pair of fours, again. Worst final player I have ever watch.
Some moments are too big. He made it further then me tho so i cant say anything
So ESPN doesn't cover the WSOP anymore? Not gonna lie, watching the WSOP on ESPN is what started my love for the game.
I can’t believe he won the whole thing this guy is something special man
15 minutes of this video is a tank
Congratulations
Congrats to the winner
Congrats to the winner. I have to say I still would rather watch Hellmuth or Negreanu.... They have such colorful personalities. Makes it so much more entertaining.
What?
@@lifeofbru8929 what's not to understand about his comment?
@Slice of Pepperoni it's a weird comment to make. This is the final table of the biggest tournament in the world. It's like watching Tiger take down the Masters and commenting, "ya congrats, but I prefer Jon Daly cause he's funny and hits the ball far" ... it has nothing to do with anything
@@lifeofbru8929 I agree with you, I enjoy watching any poker. But his comment wasn't confusing was just wondering why you said what
My favorite part is the guy with a shotgun at 28:42 when they're taking away the millions of dollars.
Then Stuey Unger came from the dead to win in 97. Insanely, Stuey played in 80,81 and 97 winning all three of the times he played in the Main Event.
I don't know about a world title in Gin Rummy, but was considered to be consensus GOAT.
Winning three main events
When you're coked out on cocaine like Stu Unger, it's pretty easy to sit for 10-15 hours at a time playing poker for 2-3 days in a row with high mental cognition. Unger probably reupped his coke intake in the men's toilet. The only downfall is that addiction led to poor health in all aspects, ultimately killing him.
The call at 8:28 was awesome
Winning the 10k main event at the WSOP is toughest tournament to win.
Adrian Attenborough is one of the worst players ever to have gotten to the final table.. like RIDICULOUS!
Bad player
Wow these guys punted it off to Jorstad
Congratulations to the champion, some display
Where do I verify how many hands were played heads up for the 'ship? Congrats Espen "Iceman" Jorstad
The Iceman very fitting
It would be best to never use the term 'ship again...
Who were the dealers for the final table? I know one was a dealer of the year I think
why on earth call on an all in with literally no hand? what a horrible player how on earth did he get to the final. The better man DEFINETELY won here
The November nine had a different feel about it. Made it seem larger than life. This just seems like any other tournament. Pretty boring reactions.
27:55 He forgot to put his shoes on while taking interviews and receiving bracelet
Should be a time clock no need waiting 5 minutes to do something brutal
There should be 30 seconds shot clock at WSOP, with few "one minute" time chips. It is already adopted in many big buy-in tournaments. It will make the game more attractive for everyone.
Please stop putting the winner's face holding the bracelet on the thumbnail. It gives it away :(
What's up with Attenborough holding J4? He seems to married to that hand like Doyle married to T2 lol 😂. Twice he faced a tournament live decision with J4 and he just couldn't let it go..💀
27:26 If Bracelet size keeps evolving at that pace, in two years, there is going to be a championship belt for the WSOP main event winner. 😄
Looking forward to next year's coverage
