A couple weeks ago I bought my first Harley .. a 1990 Sportster 883 .. It sat un-ridden for many years so I'm still getting it going, but I'm also thinking about modifications including a hardtail. I had looked at one on ebay, but after seeing yours :-) wow, I like it .. and, it's made in the USA :-)
Looks a real quality product. Looking at the previous comment about shipping to the U.K. It does make things expensive for purchases in the Uk import duty and then 20% tax plus shipping.... Have you ever thought about having a European dealership that would stock Lowbrow products ? It would certainly make your great quality American built products far more accessible to this market. Such a good company and love your inspirational videos 👍🏼
W&W Cycles carries a lot of our products and continues to add more as time goes on. Not sure when or if they will be carrying our hardtails in the near future.
In my Lockup we ship world-wide. You can check them out at www.lowbrowcustoms.com and it will calculate shipping for you. Yes, we are preparing a bike now and will be filming an install video next week, so it will be out soon!
we haven't developed anything for 04- up at the moment, but are in the process of design etc. if you are in a pinch and looking to do something now, our friends at Led Sled Customs do nice hardtail kit. www.ledsledcustoms.com/product/hartail-2004-and-up Note if you are going to do this job you have to convert your motor to solid mount or your chain will always keep popping off. We sell a Solid mount conversion kit thats made in the US you would want to make sure and grab this too. www.lowbrowcustoms.com/lowbrow-customs-complete-solid-motor-mount-kit-for-2004-up-harley-davidson-sportster-xl.html hope that helps. What is it about the 79-81 frames that keeps anyone from making a hardtail kit for those years? I e been searching everywhere trying to get some good answers amd I'm not getting anywhere. All i can find is " because those frames have some quirks". I understand they have quirks. Im trying to find out what those quirks are. Can someone please fill me in. Thanks.
Hi I've got a 2010 Superbyke Cruz chopper I'm putting in a 125cc engine and want a hard tail on it witch one would work best for this project please get back to me. Lee
Shwank D You will have to do a chain conversion. Reason being the 3” stretch, they do make special belts that are longer but costly and it would be wiser to just go with the chain conversion, plus looks cooler anyway :)
I don't want to lead you astray and I trust Lowbrow, but I still can't help myself investigating this question further. The FLHT, FLHR, FLTR take a 139 tooth X 1 1/8" belt. By the calculations at mulliemotors, that belt adds nearly an exact 3" stretch and it is available for the same price as a stock sportster belt. It's probably heresy to the true chopper guys to want to retain the belt drive but it's a modernization I'd like to keep on mine if at all possible. If I'm wrong on this, I definitely welcome Lowbrow correcting me before I spend the money and discover it doesn't work. It just looks like, on paper, the FLHT belt should fit perfectly for the 3" stretch the frame adds.
We make a bolt on hardtail, no cutting needed. www.lowbrowcustoms.com/lowbrow-customs-1967-1978-kr-style-bolt-on-hardtail-frame-harley-davidson-ironhead-sportster.html

I keep getting these Harley vids...don't know why. However, if for some unknown reason I should forget all I know about motorcycles and end up with one, there is no logical reason that I would remove the rear suspension as lame as it may be. If anything I would try to improve it.....
Les mecs, vos soudures sont dégueulasses, vraiment! C'est du bricolage bas de gamme! Je suis soudeur, et j'affirme que c'est très vilain. Pour une boîte comme la vôtre, c'est déroutant...
you guys should make a video on the hartail kit for 2004-2022 sportsters
Yes !

I heard fits stock axel and wheel but what if you haven't done a chain conversion from belt drive?

@@lowbrowcustoms what are the quirks that keep you guys from making a 79-81 sportster hardtail kit ?
I’d like it more without stretch, I think. Looks too open past the seat post.
Will lowbrow make a hardtail for the 57- up sportster?
Do you have a hardtail to suit a 200 wheel and fat bob fender.
