Part one can be found here: • Can Starfox Zero save ...
There has been a lot of speculation about the Nintendo NX recently. People have been asking what's it's capable of and when it will be released but, has the very mention of this device had a detrimental impact on Wii U sales? In this video I look at, not just Starfox Zero but the franchise as a whole and why it has a fundamental role in the success of the Wii U.

I found your channel through your Super Mario Galaxy 3 video. I got to say, you make great videos, I love your optimistic approach to Nintendo, many people are very negative towards Nintendo. It's nice to see someone finally say the Wii U still has a chance.

I always remember Dinosaur Planet as Dinosaur Planet.
Still a StarFox game with a good understanding of the original concept of the Dinosaur Planet game.
So I forgive the mistakes, kinda wished that the fight with General Scales had the bugs polished out so it could be a fight to remember instead of the developer having to bypass it with a cut scene to avoid game breaking bugs that might have been an issue.
Still RARE were being purchased by Microsoft at the time so RARE had to finish it and remove any bugs that could not get fixed.

I wasn't aware there was a bug that was triggered by the General Scales fight. I'll have to research that. I share your despondence though, as there had been a lot of character build up for him which sadly resulted in nothing more then an anti climatic 'a' button push. Having said that the Andross battle was done really well, even if it was completely out of context with the rest of the game.

Well it was just my theory why they ended the fight so soon, I thought it must have been a bug and they needed to move onto the planned Andross fight.
So it was only just my belief as the best reason why RARE avoided the General Scales fight must have been because of a game breaking bug, so don't take my word as true, just a fan theory

I see. Well it's a pretty solid theory and makes sense. Personally, I always thought it was that they had simply ran out of time. Speaking of Rare, have you seen Sea of Thieves? I'm considering covering it in one of my future videos. I think it looks stunning.

      Sea of Thieves looks good.
Sadly my internet is not good enough to play games online so I feel that it would be a barrier to those who have limited internet, also I have no 8th gen system.
But I do feel for RARE after all the Kinect issues they had been forced to make over the recent years. So after seeing RARE replay and people praising the old RARE games on youtube, I do hope that those who have an XBox One just for the RARE games can support the company so they would eventually become good again, even though most of the people from RARE back then have moved on to other companies like the ones working on Yooka Laydely.
So anyone who does have an XBox One, and if they were a fan of the old RARE, I would say to them that it would mean allot to support them by buying their games.
Give Microsoft a sign that people still care about them.
When the XBox 360 was released, I did get the system to buy both Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero as well as being disappointed with Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts.
But it was still a good reason to buy the console, because recently I have been playing Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 that can only be played on XBox 360 as well as some Japanese RPGs that were released in the early XBox 360 years.
All good reasons to still keep the old console because there is no indication if you could play Blue Dragon or even Lost Odyssey via backwards compatible XBox One.
Also by the way, I got all 7th Gen systems but no 8th Gen systems sadly.
But if I were able to still buy games like I used to do, that would be what I would say to anyone who wants to keep supporting RARE and the other developers who used to work for RARE.

They announced the NX so people wouldn't think they were going mobile. Remember they announced that they were making mobile games as the same time when nx was announced.

+The Gaming Psychologist I recently put together a letter with my friends to send to Nintendo about this, do you give me permission to include your channel?
