Thank goodness “vicarious” exists. This video is the first time I’ve heard the word hyrox and though I’ve recently heard of pickleball, I still don’t know what it is. Treatment for the loser’s entrails maybe? I’m going to search the name of that long haired expert as that’s where the vicarious bit of my enjoyment comes in. I’ve run marathons, biked LEJOG and ticked several other barmy sport boxes. But that was all 40 years ago and now I have persistent AF, lumbar stenosis and probably piriformis syndrome too, so walking with deep stretches every quarter mile is what I do now. Plus I’ve so far failed to learn to navigate Instagram so the lives of my son and daughter unfold with their father oblivious until my partner occasionally mentions something notable one of them’s done. Your videos are excellent; I’ve now pressed the bell thingy so I’ll see more. My word of warning to all though is, while it’s great to physically strive, if you do that several times every week for 50 years, like I did, there’s a way better that average chance you too will get AF…the ever emerging evidence indicates that. I had nine cardioversions over seventeen years and I still have AF. It’s not fun and if you think logically, that ever aging bodies were not meant to be pushed to their limits into old age, and you modify your sport accordingly, you’ll be thankful. Hint: rebounders are really good. I’m going to search a hyrox venue with a viewing gallery!

But currently, everything is progressing exactly to plan and we should be looking at a moving date sometime early September to early October at the latest. And content on Jenna’s channel will start immediately to document what we will be doing there!
Thanks so much for the reply, it is very kind of you. I hope it all goes smoothly. As a side note, I know you love swimming, I managed 1600 in 24 mins, maybe you could revisit the pool, would be a good opportunity for a photo in some tiny pants 😂
actually - the new house has a pool that hasnt been used in YEARS - Jen wants to refurb it and instal a swim jet system......so you never know! I quite like the idea of a hi-tech pool in the middle of nowhere 😂
@@MarkLewisfitness that sounds incredible, am very jealous !!
@@SC-np5gs concentrate on the staggering amounts of effort and work thats going to be required to make it no longer look like a pit that gangsters would throw bodies into in order for captive pigs to eat them. 😂 will make you less jealous. 😂
I see a Mark Lewis pickleball challenge coming!!!
Must chalk up on the rope pull! During my second round with only an hours break, my hands were cut up, spoiling my time. This painful, cramped up lesson cost me 5+ minutes.
So hyrox looks fun and everyone can do it at there own pace. Can anyone also tell me what the max time is? Or isn't there something as a max time?
The jokes are aces, as always. I have been thinking about doing a Hyrox and next one near me is in December... Hmm.
Great video, I really enjoyed it... cheers mate! :)
I got a penalty for accidentally not doing like half a lap. It was a weird like 1.5 laps and it was so confusing. But the world didn’t end. Also I think I was last but no one could actually tell because I was amongst lots of other athletes.
Everytime i see the word hyrox i cant help but think of the Lorax. I say let it grow.
you are so funny love your videos!
A new cross for video . I nearly fell off my treadmill
i love pickleball and i would love to do a hyrox. sadly i can't get my knee to hit the floor for lunges as my knees just won't let me😢
I wish we had hyrox in Canada
I really wanted to start doing stuff like this and mud runners. But now I'm preggo and not allowed to do shit like that for a while🙃🙃
Shirts should be mandatory
I have watched this only for the humor. Might buy some Metcons.

😂 very enjoyable and so factual
This is awesome 😎👍
When are we getting the pickle ball video as a part of the trying new sports/events series?
What really worries me are people into walking and pickleball telling me how these sports helped them - oh boy. When it comes to shoes I always find my Reebok Nano's do a very decent job at many activities. Cheers.
I love your channel because you makw me lagh😂
