What a tragedy it is that this superb violinist died at 35 from a neurological disorder. It reminds me of the tragic, untimely death of Ginette Neveu who died in a plane crash at the age of 30. Ernest Chausson, whose "Poème" Ginette played, also died tragically at 44, riding down a hill on a bicycle. He died instantly when he crashed into a brick wall. Michael Rabin was supremely talented.
