Love your train journey videos James. I know a lot of research must be done to get the maps right and I love the added photo's of the stations. Thanks for all your hard work in putting these video's together.

I suffer from a cartographic fetish disorder so the 1867 map kept me on track. Thank you, the fantastic Mr. Fox.

I once worked on the night trains in Guildford Surrey cleaning them but also operating very old shunter ones, I had many encounters with past figures, not knowing they had departed this life, stuck on the same carriageways/train lines they could not unfree themselves. Why video footage like this is so very important to our knowing and understanding of ghoulish pedestrian transport of the past. This amazing video of a past in existence illustrates my point entirely and should never cast any doubt at all of haunted locations or ever be afraid of them without gentle persuasion.

Impressive piece of work. Looking at the traffic on the A66 today, I'm sure this would have been a viable line, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. The cost of reinstating it now would be horrendous.

Brilliant my family helped build the railways and I my self have worked for the railways all my life I'm 64 it's a pity it never stayed nationalised as foreign companys and UK companys have assets stripped it and the closure of lines under beeching started the decline of the railways.
