The ending difference is that, when the "do no harm to humans" rule of robotics is brought up by Dr. Wily, Mega Man simply stops charging his attack in silence in the Japanese version. The death threat was added in the international script. The fact that his last line in the international version replaces the ellipses from the Japanese version is why the text crawls so slowly - it inherited the slow speed of those ellipses!
In the likely event that you're confused by that "Auto worries about his bellybutton" thing for Thunder Bolt (Strike?), it's an old wive's tale in Japan that if you don't cover up your stomach during a thunderstorm the god of thunder will come down and steal your bellybutton. Use it to frighten your own children!
Japanese legends are hilarious!

Pretty sure this "explode forever" technology was inspired when you murdered Wily with rain flush in MM4. He went back in time, saved himself, then designed a capsule that would explode forever, thus denying you your victory and, quite logically, the ability to spring off your dog.

I did a no damage play with the background disabled on shademan's stage for laughs, but hardly anyone has watched it. It was actually pretty fun learning the stage without being able to fully see it.

One small post-glitch thing I discovered: If you do the Cloud Man glitch at 11:36, then proceed to beat him, for some reason, all the text is screwed up throughout the rest of the game. This includes dialogue, weapon names, Auto's shop, and even the credits!

Around 2:02 or so, the infamous "Rock almost breaks the First Law" scene...this isn't exact, since a lot of what's being said doesn't translate directly, but a close rendering is: "[You'll] shoot? [You'll] shoot me? ME? You, a robot, will [shoot] ME, a human?!" He's in utter disbelief but still arrogant as heck about it.
Notably, Rock just stands there gritting his teeth, instead of the US version's "I am more than a robot! Die, Wily!" Which, as a little girl, always made me raise an eyebrow...
Nothing makes my day quite like a new geminilaser video. I don't even care about how long it takes you, the quality is what matters. Keep it up!

First Mega Man kills Wily to create a time paradox...then Mega Man tortures Wily in an eternally exploding Capsule to create another time paradox. Rock is REALLY out to punish Wily for his deeds! I'm not sure if I should call that cruelty, or poetic justice.
Either way, way to go for breaking the game again, Mega Man! Now we're never gonna have a sequel. Man. And people were really looking forward to making fun of its English voice acting, too!
That sounds almost like an adventure game death message. "Way to go for breaking the game again, Mega Man! Now we're never gonna have a sequel."
Hah! That does sound about right, yeah. And to make it even better, I can't help but read that in the voice of the guy from the Space Quest games that always sasses the player for dying and/or failing in whatever manner. "Smooth move, Ex-lax! Looks like your weapons are pretty broken after all. And I'm not just talking about being overpowered!" or something, geez. Oh goodness. XD
Stuff like "When we fine dat meteo, wew fine Dr. Wiwy", "KRESCH EVERYONE NEHAHAHA", "ill crush u, i will beat u", "HEY BASS", and "WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOR"-- Oh wait, that last one's a hundred or so years too early.
Oh that boss entry weapon montage was delightful.
And yes, I am reflecting on old Hoov in long awaited anticipation of more MegaMan... and also working out how I want to go about recording Oh Joes with my collab group. :D

I just now noticed that the clouds in the background of Cloud Man's arena are upside down. Seriously! Look at them! The lit up part is facing down, while the shaded part is on top. Apparently, Capcom couldn't tell up from down when they made this game in the late 90's, lol!
The never-going-to-happen-explotion of Wilys UFO at the end of the video, made me think it was changing to the "get ready to cause real-life-scale nuclear explotion on Megaman"
I wish the "Megaman explains stuff to Auto" was kept in the US version of the game. It would have been funny. Also I feel that the Japanese version of the ending is more in character for Megaman.

Since you had people voice over the cutscenes in this game, what are you doing for MM8? Redubbing the cutscenes, or leaving them as-is?
Nice compilation of tricks and glitches! Here's some lesser-known tricks you might have missed:
- Hit Freeze Man with Freeze Cracker and he freezes the game for a second
- Use Thunder Bolt on Turbo Man to supercharge him
- Using Noise Crush on Shade Man will cause him to shoot it back at you, charged up
- You can kill a couple bosses in one shot with Noise Crush by shooting it as you enter the boss room
- You can turn the moving cloud platforms in Cloud Man's stage into thunderclouds using Thunder Bolt
Thanks! I do the Freeze Man trick in my main playthrough, and I know about Noise Crush, but I had no idea about the others! Things to add to the pile for when I go back and do the "all the glitches and tricks I missed" videos when I'm done with ALL the Mega Man games, should I ever get there.

+GeminiLaser So, mentioning Megaman 5, At the end of Chargeman's stage, I somehow looped myself above the screen to scroll down with the 2nd to last screen before the boss corridor. The logs on top of that corridor are actually platforms. I still have yet to recreate the glitch to this day. And that was on the 3DS no less!

The first password doesn't work on the Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 version of Mega Man 7.
For posterity, that forward+down+downforward motion you mentioned is called a Dragon Punch motion, colloquially.
Wait, I thought the Dragon Punch was the secret uppercut in X8; "Booster Kick" is what I'm seeing for the move in question.

Spring Man's magnetic personality change upon being blasted with a Thunder Bolt really struck me as one of the interesting examples of 'surprisingly logical' ability interactions.
Glad I didn't let you down! And I'd love to see more of those "surprisingly logical" ability interactions. I give credit to Mega Man & Bass and I think also MM8 for having one or two weapons behave differently underwater.

Hey Gemini, I just found out that the Air Man Glitch from Mega Man 2 can
be done for other Robot Masters as well. For example, Heat Man leads to
Wily 1 and Wood Man leads to Wily 3. You can check it out for yourself,
it's pretty funny. Sadly, just like with Air Man, the boss won't load
when you've reached the end of the glitched stage.

On legacy collection 2, the 8 robot masters password doesn't work. I held down the left and right triggers on the VS mode password, but I just go to the final stage. Am I doing something wrong?
